Melee Balance. With 600 upvotes, I think this deserves a little attention from GGG

----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it. |

D2 handled melee targeting fairly well. Click and hold RMB to move, and any time a monster was in range of your selected attack, you'd automatically swing. Very fluid, and fun to play.
Having to manually target each monster, or else just attack at your position and hope a monster is nearby, is--even without all the other issues melee has--enough to turn many people off of it. If GGG implemented D2's solution, the targeting gameplay at least would be much more intuitive. Wash your hands, Exile!

melee - i wont be playing that shit anymore. patch notes are simply 'door is down there kid'
fireball 50% more damage on the other hand. it is just INSANE. jump on the fotm bandwagon - bladefall miner to farm MUH HARDY bosses with no risk, no skill, no gear + archer to destroy everything with random gem setup and one of the many 1c guaranteed bow uniques i wonder how are the 'melee buffs' going to help melee kill the Shaper and guardians. because i cannot imagine a character wielding that potato stick 2h mace being able to kill the Guardian that drops this item. while ranged cheeze just offscreens him - no skill, no risk in short - bullsh.. |

" sadly - spot on but what do you expect when company simply does not play their game as melee? playing with cheated gear, immortality and castrated bosses might look impressive but it does not translate to real game id like to know how is that pathetic list of changes going to help the fact that melee pretty much is cut out from Uber? that farming Vinktar's is rather.. hard compared to other classes? |
