Ball lightning can use it. CWDT no, since it increases, I belive, amount of damage needed to trigger ball lightning.

Yes, since it will also apply curses on it's area, and since you want it lvl 20, you will be able to manually cast it.

Just got my shit rocked in the shaper fight. Got him down to 50% health before I lost. I used up 3 portals on Daresso, Rigwald and Malachai, so I didn't have a lot of chances with him. Oh well, here's to grinding for the fragments again. :)

Dinged level 94 earlier today. I think I really need to upgrade my chest and get a better crystal belt, as I'm just over 7800 ES with 1530ish int. In fact, my boots and gloves could likely use an upgrade too, I'm just not stoked on spending the chromes to off-color one of them again to support ice golem. On the other hand, it's nice not needing enlighten anymore as vaal discipline has saved my ass a few times, so I'm glad I have a dedicated slot for it now.

All-in-all, I've mentioned a few times how much fun I'm having with this build. It's a bit slower compared to the "meta," but it fits my playstyle perfectly. Thanks again for the build, and the effort you've put into your guide(s).

I've had trouble too trying to kill shaper with 8.6k es. I just got one shotted by shaper's slam and all in all it was just panick out there.
I eventually killed him later with 9.5k es.
My current setup has 10.3k es, 1580 int and anger aura (only 2 curses).

If you died to daresso, rigwald and malachai, your gear is either way subpar or you lack knowledge about how to engage various bosses. Well... those three boss fights specifically are the ones where you can't stay stationary all the way through. The same is true for the shaper fight if one has less than 8k ES - better dodge the slam then. ;)

You're probably right, on both accounts. All three times I died once due to a mechanical error on my part.

your gear looks fine. you should easily be able to do shaper with that gear. whats your level and can you link your jewels?
