"Jew" as abbreviation for Jeweller's Orb

Where did you find this, it's a historical joke.
Name "slav" can be met much earlier than 9th century, and it's an ethnonym but not politonym, the origin of the word they named themselves is slavic. No one names himself a slave.

Who are those slavs, who consider this very word you censored by unknown reasons, offensive? I know a shitload of them, they are all proud of being slavs. You can't offend a slav by calling him such.

Procurement uses the more reasonable abbreviation "jewel", which fits just fine. The likelihood of confusion with passive skill tree jewels is low, given that skill jewels are not interchangeable in value, and the feedback is immediate when selecting Jeweller's Orb what the abbreviation pertains to.

Im a jew , at least thats what i was born into, and guese what? I dont give a damn about JEW being written in short of jewellery, jews in PoE are not being offended dont worry.

You being ethnically Jewish (and even if you were a practicing Jew) by no means makes you spokesperson for all Jews who play POE or know about this issue. It's legit to say you're not offended, though.

You know you guys are totally missing the point when you are comparing whatever you just said that refers to something actually in real in life to "jew" in a video game that obviously means the shorter form of jeweler.

If there was Slavaroth orbs and people said "3 Slavs for my chaos orb", you need to force real life into the game to make it offensive.

If there was Niggroise orbs and people ask for 5 nigs for their exalt, that's fair. If you add in the ger to the end of it, you are willingly trying to be cute and adding real life conclusions to it.

That's like saying the game is racist because the marauder is a big tribal brute that is dark skinned and was a slave. The scion is a dumb rich blond from a rich city ect.

You have to inject negative things from reality into the game to make it a problem. For things to be a problem, a party have to be attempting to make it a problem. Not things just being the way they are logically or fitting within the story. There is a vast amount of things in PoE that can be "offensive" if compared to events in real life and making them have the exact same context and situation.
