Legacy league thoughts
" Trading isn't fun for me, so I don't do it. The challenge of using the various crafting options is fun for me, so I do that instead. I understand that the opposite is true for some players though. |

worst league ever....wonderfull idea but so horribly RNG gated.....it is like playin" stanhdard with more rip issue...lol.
people would play legacy league to get a decent chance to (maybe) obtain legacy stuff or league items....not just playin' old mechanics , i think dev's doesnt understoud that.... carrot league without any balls ..... learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.

Legacy makes me regret not playing Perandus league, because the paucity of Perandus coins in this league makes any encounter (scarce as they are) with Cadiro a potential exercise in frustration. I found him offering a pure Exalt for 2,441 coins, which I was pretty sure was a deal, given I only had about 400. None of my guildies responded when I asked if anyone wanted him, so, in order not to have it go to waste, I offered it to the first respondent in town who could afford it. Nice guy was understandably glad to take the opportunity at a cheap exalt, and tipped me a pile of Perandus coins to help me out in future. ='[.]'=

Only problem I have with the league is that it completely exposes the weird direction POE is going in as of late. It is becoming abundantly clear that they are creating more trash for us to collect to sell stash tabs and to slow down clear speeds by making us fuck with inventory for longer and longer every league.
This game is getting too close to why I quit Marvel Heroes: 5000 things to collect and store. Look at what has been added to this game since Perandus: 1) Perandus Coins 2) Essences 3) League Stones 4) Breach Splinters > Breach Stones > Blessings 5) Silver Coins (Prophecies) 6) Talismans I mean the list is never-ending. It's getting to a point where this game is not only exhausting to play, but it is even WORSE to explain to new players. My friend (whom i introduced to this game about 2 years ago) was commenting on this very thing. Why is every league introducing some sort of weird thing to collect or manipulate in menus (league stones). The new Pantheon system in 3.0 is just another layer of confusion on top of an already convoluted system. I miss the old leauges that were just "there". I'm tired of constantly fucking with little doodads and whatchyamacallits in menus just to enjoy the league. Please stop with this shit already. |

Before the league was announced I would normally skip the entire league. When it was announced I decided to play it casually as it sounded really fun. Today I realised I was just unlocking my atlas with the average addition of 1 shrine/box/exile/... and came to the conclusion I would be better off waiting until 3.0 and play on permanent standard, at least I don't have to build a map pool again there :p
There are just too many white leaguestones, the exciting ones drop like once every 10 maps? Also I only found 1 reliquary thing and it gave me a Hyrri's Ire ... So yeah all in all I'm a bit disappointed in the league. This could have been much more excitying if leaguestones could actually be craftable or dropped more in magic form. I understand crafting them would result in a lot of overpowered stuff but hell at least a map would feel as if you're not playing standard. im enjoying legacy league, for me its kind of a goodbye to PoE as we know it
i have a gut feeling that 3.0 may feel like a total different game I dont see any any key!

I am admittedly enjoying the League so far, as I have the game in general from the very beginning.
However, I am noticing the creep of slight disappointment in the white stones as has been mentioned ad nauseum, as well as the stones that have very little overall purpose. Yeah, 1 Silver coin and one rogue exile is pretty lul. That all being said, I combined Onslaught, increased magical, and a +40% extra Beyond chance with increased quality and quantity drop, that made the next 5 maps the most fun I've had in a loooooong time. I had a single Spider Forest drop 8 uniques + 4 cards for the Whispering Ice, awesome fun. As I stretch the legs of my main character, it is important to actually remember to remove the challenging blue stones when doing Tier 12+ corrupted maps for the Atlas. But you can at least throw in those useless white stones for a little sumthin' sumthin' I guess. So, there is impact there, but the dent it makes is small most of the time. |
