Bestiary is a complete waste of time

> Pick up nets
> Capture the correct 3+ rares
> Capture the correct red
> Port to menag
> Find the recipe
> Kill mobs again
> Port out again
(> add another port if you do multiple recipes in a row because of flasks)

Waste time worth of full map completion to get a garbage item. Even if you don't focus on it, you still lose. There are very few super rare recipes that are useful but catching all reds and rares just for that is never worth it.

Uniques = nothing different from map drops except you can do that once every 100 maps or so per type.

Rares = Why spend 2 minutes to craft a rare with the possibility of it having bad rolls when you have essences that guarantee you a high tier mod. Not to mention you have better chances of getting a good item by simply picking items up.

I've baited myself into 50 recipes now with absolutely nothing to show except for a few deaths because I did 2+ crafts in a row and had no flasks up.
With the time that I've spent doing Bestiary stuff, I could have easily done 30+ maps so far.

I feel like I got baited by GGG again like last league with the promise of exploring atlas being useful that turned out to be false.

I've never written a negative post about the game mechanics but jesus this is such a terrible bait.

Yeah this is my biggest problem with the league. The added nonsense just to try and get an item is kinda dumb. They should have at least made the mobs drop loot the second time you kill them.

I haven't even stepped foot in the menagerie yet. To me it's "Acendancy Rework League." I'm just ignoring all the Bestiary stuff.

These truly are baits, not even joking. It looks like it is somewhat somehow worth it but it absolutely is not. Especially the rares that you craft the most.

Even if you do somehow by magic get good rolls, it'll most likely be on a completely wack base.

You need to find an albino rhoa to get white sockets man.

There are certainly a few worthwhile recipes (Get a bunch of prophs, seal a bunch, make high level/quality gems, and I guess make uniques can turn out well) but the vast majority of them are just the crow div card with another name. The rewards for engaging with the content are low and the clunkiness and risk is fairly high.

It's most useful to craft the leveling items to make that process smoother.

Man, I died doing back to back recipes (like 4) because it wasn't until the last one I noticed my flasks were not (of course) filling after each fight.

I also died before I firmed up the life on my current build when I cockily started a fight and was immediately one shot by a Leap Slam by whatever massive red rare I had trapped. Like no chance to respond, just WHAM dead.

Admittedly that was the wake-up call to look into my life levels, but I had previously trapped the fucking thing......?

Anyway, I agree on all points.
