For sure, its definitely a viable alternative, especially with those who play a bit more reserved. Also its fantastic early on in the league when its easier to do temples than Shaper's Guardians. In Incursion it was definitely recommended to grab one of these until you could switch over.

I do still recommend Scourge because it really locks you into that pattern of Scourge, EE, Fortify all being refreshed at the same time. Fortify is really all we have aside from a decent-ish life pool, and strong healing flasks, so its really important to keep the most amount of uptime on that as possible. If you have to maintain fortify, then why not use Scourge? There's also QoL on Scourge in the form of the attack speed you as the caster get, that unless you get the perfect Temple 1H that has it or has the open suffix for it, you're not going to get.

However, play however works best for you! There is definitely flexibility within the build itself and the build's Output DPS in order to cater to certain playstyles. If taking a damage loss keeps you alive because of your particular play style, then the decision is a no-brainer! Go with what works!

Hey, in PoB you have frenzy and power charges checked as used by both you and your minions, which gives an additional 80k shaper dps per minion. I can't really find the way you genrate those. Am I missing something?

if you aren't using lycosidae the other shield is victario's which gives frenzy/power charges to your minions and you.

Mhm. As stated by 1benjy1, we use Victario's Charity with Necromantic Aegis to generate those charges.

There are other ways as well, for example the A7 apes as spectres, etc, but Victario's is the simplest solution and doesn't require any sacrifice socket-wise.

Comes down to playstyle and preference. Nothing wrong with a +3 Staff build but it wasn't for me. I liked the way 1-H and Shield played and I liked the doors Necromantic Aegis opened up, so I focused on that.

If you're interested in a +3, My necromancer name Sialwyn has a good staff tree, even though she used Skelly/Phantasm. It's a place to start if you're wanting to explore.

Nothing wrong with your build, can you just put the list of your gear ?

Kinda easier for new or advanced player to see what you'll need to buy later, or what to focus on;

Eh. I'm a fan of how well this build kills bosses but it's been super boring to level in this league. Also just a heads up don't do any Alva content until you're character is fully up and running and even then be prepared for disappointment. That 10 second timer isn't accommodating if you have any load lag.

Also. Just a quick feedback on the layout of the guide. I keep forgetting how many different spoiler drop down like menus your guide has. I'm guessing you're about 10 years younger than me but I find it a strange layout so it may not be your guide per say so much as my trouble following the formatting.

Can you update the tree as its different for the new league
