Map sustain seems to be getting worse and worse?

I can't sustain worth a damn, and it's not my fault. I just finished a Tier14 with 142% item quantity on the map. I found a Tier5 map. That's it.

I only have a handful of Tier10+ unlocked because they never fucking drop. I have to go out and buy them on a regular basis, and even then I can't sustain? What the utter fuck.

Is Biscos basically a required item to play the fucking end game?

I'm just getting sick of this. I waste so much fucking time trading with people because of the unresponsive API and even then when I'm going out and buying expensive fucking maps on a regular basis I still can't even come close to sustaining? How is this fun. It's like I have to grind just to grind in order to better grind... I get that it's "Grinding Gear Games" and everything, but jesus christ. It shouldn't be this bad. I don't remember it being this bad in previous leagues either.

I have a bunch of maps I still need to finish, but even then, that Tier5 I found would be a Tier6. Great. That's not helpful.

It's just not fun when you grind up to Tier14 and have to go all the way back to grinding Tier10s. It's like one step forward and two steps back. Like ok maybe pushing to 16 shouldn't be easy, but god damn, if I can do the content...

If I do a Tier14 with over 140% item quantity I should at least get a fucking Tier12 back.

And honestly, having to purchase the maps constantly wouldn't be so fucking bad if the god damn trade API updated more than once every six hours. You have to whisper dozens of people before you get a response most of the time. Doing that for every god damn map that won't drop for me would take at least a half hour or solid whispering over and over again. Again, that's not "difficult". That's not the sort of barrier that should exist.

You're doing something wrong.

Why would Alva even matter? I never seem to have maps drop from the Temple. I've upgraded the Cartographers room every chance I get, only had maybe four that get upgraded to level three. Even then they always drop low tier shit maps that I've already completed. ( The low tier shit maps wouldn't be so bad if they were maps I hadn't completed yet. )

This is the easiest league to sustain maps I´ve enjoyed so far - except for Harbinger.

Whats your atlas progress looking like?

Not trying to talk down to you or some shit, Im genuinely interested how you manage to not sustain maps in this league and try to fix it.

Do you chisel? Sac frags? Are you actually selling items and buying more maps? Are you pushing your atlas progression? Are you running 1-2 of the highest tier map you've got when you have a map room in your temple?

Not sustaining maps is simply down to incompetence, nothing else. This league has good sustain.

I chisel my higher tier maps, like tier 11+

I'm trying to push my Atlas progression more the past couple days, I go back and do Tier 7 - 9 trying to unlock new maps but they never seem to drop. I'm currently going through Poe.trade trying to buy a bunch of the Tier9s I haven't done, but so far I've whispered 18 people and received zero responses. I'm counting because it's just starting to get ridiculous. The trading system in the game seems to be broken right now. I've now had four people respond saying they sold the item I was wanting *hours* beforehand. My buddy that's online had to throw on DND because of a belt he sold two hours ago. He's still getting whispers for it.

And yes I'm selling items, I have no issues *selling* items. I have plenty of issues *buying* them though. But yeah I'm not rich, don't have thousands of Chaos or nothing like that.

Like for instance I had seven Armoury maps yesteday. I did all seven of them. I found zero Vault maps. I eventually ran out of Armoury maps, couldn't even sustain that...

The only section I've had any real success with is Siege -> Carcass. Other than that, every attempt I've made to do other areas ends with complete failure. And it's such a waste of time doing lower tier maps.

I don't really believe this comes down to incompetence. I'm doing everything that you guys are suggesting etc.

And this is my fourth league, for whatever that's worth. I'm not a noob. I understand most of the games mechanics.

Oddly enough map prices at tier 13-15 are stable instead of steadily dropping overtime.

You're not at the point you should be worried about "sustain". You should be working on completion. Run the parent maps of the ones you don't have yet. Over and over. Buy what you can from players or Zana.

Look man, if I do seven Armoury maps I should get the next map in the sequence, OR AT LEAST MORE ARMOURY MAPS. So yes, I'm fucking worried about sustain because I can't even sustain maps in order to finish the god damned completion bonuses. That's sort of my point here. I can't get completion because MAPS AREN'T FUCKING DROPPING.

I'm sick of this shit. It's not fun. I shouldn't have to fucking whisper a thousand people through a third party fucking website in order to progress in this fucking game.
