I'm doing similar with EB/MoM. I got feedback about out of mana (es) problems and also had it myself. When taking hits, there is no more ES to cast anything. So can't use flame dash or dash to get away. Many times I felt like I was geting hit and my flame dash won't work!

This is the main reason why I only went with 1 cluster, so that I could keep enough ES to run EB/MoM. I just found that the combo along with Feast of Flesh from the Devouring Diadem was just way too good to give up. Full life and full energy shield every 5 secs is amazing.

But to get it, I had to path to several ES nodes, and get ES on ALL my gear, including on my ghastly eye jewels. At the beginning of the league I used discipline instead of skitterbots until I was able to get enough ES with my gear.

I admit that the pathing and gear restrictions are tough, but in the end the extra defenses were very much worth it. I had 6.7k life and 2.7k ES with 39% phys reduction (without flasks), and could tank almost anything. With that much ES I never ran out from MoM.

I don't know if it will be possible to get the same gear next league, but I'm going to try it. If not, then I might just go for extra life and drop MoM.

How come the full walkthrough has different gem progression than the Gem act checklist is one of them updated and the other is not?

I would like to understand how to start with the S&S build. What Spectre do you recommmend for starting on that one Kay? Is the build updated?

Need to see patch notes for full update. But the plan is Base Build -> S&S with a few gem/item swaps.

Base Build will have the full levelling tree for each act. Items will be all medium level rares (SSF friendly).

Build Option: Spectres & Spiders and Build Option: Pure Spectres will uniques and high end items. Also 3 trees:
1. no cluster
2. single cluster
3. double cluster

S&S required items: Arakaali Fang, Speakers Wreath, Victario Charity. Recommended spectres: Frost Sentinels (early), Redemption Sentry or Knight (player preference).

I got distracted by optimising act 1-4 and didn't finish from act 5. (・・；)

Passive Tree will be released after patch notes. The new tree for 3.11 is quit different to 3.10 (similar to 3.9) I have also made changes to notables progression.

Good question. I'm not sure actually. I don't have spare level 68-70 necro to test. But definitely don't use Ele Focus for mapping because the main point is freezing monsters for safety.

So for mapping, maybe RS + Min Dmg + Spell Echo + GMP + Pierce + Ele Prolif. I think it will be enough to freeze lock map monsters.

If spiders need help against boss, swap GMP -> Hypo, Ele Prolif -> Ele Focus.

It's actually easier to do Acts with fire damage because you have 4 minions with fire damage:

1. fire spectres (fire-eaters with high cast per second)
2. skitterbot + infernal legion
3. holy flame totem + combustion
4. SRS

If you use Slave Driver, you just have 2 or 3 spectres for lightning damage.


SD scale higher in mid-map and endgame.

Some mentioned that you have a brilliant method to save spectres (e.g. redemption sentry or knight) in another character, I'm wondering if you could add that in this guide.
