It's easy to change to skele for levelling: summon skele, minion damage, melee phys, multistrike. We don't need melee splash because spectres and zombies will help with clearing. Actually I also use multistrike all the time for endgame build because gem swapping is annoying :P

I don't recommend impale because its physical damage only and for late game cold conversion is stronger (except for aura stacker build!).


The new levelling guide and league starter build will be spectre + skele.
I already recorded full A1~10 SSF playthrough so just editing video now. Plan is upload it on Friday!

On that note may I ask a noob question on damage conversion-

If I use Triad Grip converting all Physical to Cold damage for my skeletons.
Would linking my Skelly Gem to Physical Enhance gems like 'Melee Physical Damage Support' gem work or other Physical damage enhancement properties on the gears or skill tree work?

(Because I read from wiki that "Damage conversion is done before any increases, or multipliers are applied to damage guaranteeing that they are only applied once." - So my concern is that the Triad Grip would have converted all the physical damages to cold damages, and linking things like Melee Physical Damage Support to it would have no effect.)

Second question - Given I use Triad Grip to convert physical to cold for minions - would linking Summon Skeletons to "Elementary Army Support", "Hypothermia" (Gems that gives cold damage) work? Or would it work better with Gems that give physical damage e.g. Melee Physical Damage?

You will still get the damage support from the original damage type. So melee phys + triad 4G + ele damage will all work.

Damage can be affected by any modifiers which could apply to any of the types it was converted through. So that fire damage that was cold damage that was physical damage, is affected by any modifiers which would apply to physical damage, or to cold damage, or to fire damage. No modifier can apply to the same damage twice.

For second question: If you want the most damage just use the best damage supports. but use other supports for special stuff like ailment or debuff.

Planning to try a minion build in the next league.
Is this viable for SSFHC ? Which version is best suited for it ?

why use EE before trigger wand.. does srs trigger ee for your spectres.. referring to the league starter build. ty

Hello Kay :) I did practice speedrunning your leveling build for two weeks now and found a way to buy all the required gems for the transition for mapping so there is "no swaps".

But now I see that you have a new build that replaces the Minion Army Build! :O

How much of a power difference and smoothness is those two builds compared to eachother? Like, I found pressing SRS->run->SRS->run a good way to clear decent (especially with unleashed).

My plan for the new league was Minion Army Build -> Spectre + Spider (ish.. without spending too much currency on items not relevant to the next transition) -> into Cold HoP.


What are your thoughts now going into 3.15? I know the manifesto is not out yet, but based on the current game would you rather going your new skele build instead of Minion Army? How would that affect my plan? Would it be better to go skelly -> skelly mage -> Cold HoP when enough curreny? Or is the skelly mage the end game deluxe build?

So many questions :D I just want to hear your thoughts on all this.

I think the Minion Army build will work in HC SSF because some people used it for the ziz gauntlet:

even tho i died, i managed to reach level 80 during the class gauntlet hardcore ssf event , was my very first time playing hardcore also, so build should clearly be viable for hardcore

and then the new skele build should be good for further investment. It uses cold-conversion with triad grip though, so I will need to make a short alt version for phys-impale which is more SSF friendly.

Hey Kay I used your build in the past and was one of the best leagues I had and was thinking of maybe running it again as a safe starter for this coming league. I popped the pure spectre's into pob and it seems SO only does around 300k dps. Is there anything in the build I need to fix or did they just get nerfed that hard recently?

SRS don't proc EE, but we just need the extra DPS for bosses or rare monsters. So self-cast storm brand to proc EE. (SRS gets the benefit from EE too!)
