No. Read the Guide carefully :) You curse the enemies with that setup to make your spectre stronger.

Im using spectres [Im following the guide - 40 lvl now] but Im also using Storm Brand+Arcane Surge+Onslaught. Maybe I missed something :]

Any reason for not using Vaal Haste?

I absolutely HATE flame dash because it always gets me killed. Will it hurt much for me to run the trusty Shield Charge + Faster Attacks + Fortify combo instead? U can use Shield Charge, sure.
But you wouldn't be able to pass obstacles anymore.
So you would need skill for that, i.e. on your weapon swap: Flame dash, Lightning warp etc

It's possible! You would need to get an unset ring because the 4L with flame dash has: flame dash + faster casting, convocation, haste. So you would need to move convo or haste to a spare slot somewhere.

Of course, you would then craft a dagger instead of a wand.

Oh, by the way, flame dash is just a utility, a get out of danger quickly kind of thing, eg Shaper teleport slam. For movement, I recommend self-cast phase run as it is far more controllable than shield charge.

Actually, befor you finish the second lab, spectres are pretty weak, so it's possile to not spec into Elemental Equilibrium and do damage alongside your spectres until they are strong enough to carry the show!

Vaal skills compete with each other for souls. I suggest a Vaal Summon Skeletons because by the time you get to a boss room, you should have a fully charged VSS and those 37 skeletons are a great body blocker (keeping you safe).

Also, the build suggest Unending Hunger for the spectres, which also competes for souls.

I've been testing Zealotry, and it is a very nice aura - the conc ground gives that little extra survivability.

I think an unset ring is the only possibility because all the other gem combinations are min-maxed and taking something out will break the interactions that give the big dps numbers. It does require some form of reducing mana reservation, though.

Incidentally, adding Zealotry to the PoB results in the Fire-Eaters going from 1.4 mil dps to 1.7.

Also from my point as a mroe or less new player DETAILED LEVELLING WALKTHROUGH section contains a bit too much info BUT not all the needed info

Hard to focus on main points and all the quest descriptions or routes are describied well in-game

Would be very nice if it would contain in the end of each act smth like:

Act 1.
Spells you need to have at the end of this act: 1, 2, 3, 4.
Items you need to have at the end of this act: 1, 2.

There are no Cast when Dmg Taken right now and several other spells missing.

I have been using zealotry over haste so far while leveling, and I'm also using a purity of elements. The zealotry aura also makes consecrated ground on hitting rare or unique monsters. I have found it helps a ton in surviving the synthesis encounters. The guide creator suggested to me grabbing some mana reservation nodes to make room for haste + zealotry later down the road, but so far I really do like the new aura.

Is it safe to assume that Vaal Summon Skeletons also pairs nicely with the
cover enemies in ash on hit?
