Local mods are local. So the answer to your question is no, it only affects minions summoned by HoP.

While i think that Templar and Ranger are going to be able to specilize more into their respective heralds, i really think that Witch is going to make the overall best Melee-Necromancer, simply due to all of the generic oomph, skill duration etc.

Or at least that is what i am telling myself. Nothing is going to stop me from making a two hander wielding melee witch. That beeing said, as someone that has played melee necromancer before, back when scourge came out, i can say its never going to be the best and optimal build either way.

It is going to be easy to level as nothing else though, i imagine.

problem with melee witch is that even as necro you yourself might be too squishy for the deeper delves. Guardian gets the 30% hp heal every 5 seconds, 50% attack block every 5 and 10% attack block/spell block for both you and minions on top of the huge regen. Witch will probably deal more damage with the minions/spectres. Time will show


As for those that say you gonna lose the minions vs bosses and struggle, well There is a thing called minion instability, vaal summon skeletons and cwdt skellie/zombie spam to aid with extra damage once they start dying :D Should be more than enough time to resummon extra herald minions.

Or use a bow.

I'm not doing anything attack based with witch. The new tree adds spell damage with minion damage as well. Now you can self cast unearth as an actual main skill and create corpses to explode/consume.

With unearth you even have the option of making it a poison/chaos skill to use with agony crawler.

I actually think witch will create the best agony crawlers.

I suppose. Then again, its a minion based class and you have that mini aegis buff, less defensive is relative when other classes basically have no defensive ascendency boons whatsoever.
