So does this mean if my cyclone APS is 15 it is ideal to use 2 spell gems in my 6L CoC to maximize spell casts?

Also assuming if it rotates that means each cospri is actually at 7.5 APS which means the weapons themselves are hitting the max casts per second with 1 spell gem?
You talking bout 15 aps like it is nothing to reach, but u must trade your soul to CW in order to do so. :) I had my 14.49 aps only with faster attacks gem. U can reach 15 by throwing in some nice att spd jewels, items or crafting those mode while focussed on gloves. But doing so u loose too much dmg (1-2 jewels, 2 supports from chest, about 6 dmg nodes on a tree).
In total, your calculation is ok. 15 aps, 2 spells in chest, 2 spells in rapier, if one handed, 1 spell each rapier if dualwield cospri's. Max castrate.
Haha well I've managed to get to near 15 APS without trading too much and without even using faster attacks in chest. Thank you for confirming my calculations though it's pretty difficult trying to figure out the accurate calculations these days.
Why do you guys craft or have mods "with attack skills"

Since it absolutely does not improve spell damage
"The MOST IMPORTANT part while figuring out our gear, is to make sure our attack speed does not exceed the CoC trigger limit. CoC can trigger a spell reliably 6.06 times per second (it has a 165ms cooldown)** (increased by the "Increased Cooldown Recovery Speed" mod of at least 14% - keep reading to see why we need at least 14%)**.?"

Still cant figure this out, what exactly this means? And can we have some example pictures with numbers?
And how much is this important? - i mean, how much less dmg we actualy do, if the cdr and attack speed are "not correct?"

Thanks.

It means if you exceed the attacks per second, you are wasting other stats on your gear.

Say if you have 9 attacks per second and have gloves or rings on them with attacks speed%, you can get rid of those for other juicy things since damage wise, you won't be triggering anything more often.

I thought too that there would be a problem or less damage if AS exceed CoC trigger. So are you saying there is no problem if we exceed it, other than waste some mods?

It means, that if we proc our CoC and Malice not at the server ticks, our spells could just not be counted by the server, staying only client events. Calculation is based on 30 ticks per second. So, each tick every 33 ms. CoC gem and Malice have 150 ms cooldown, but in fact each spell procs every 5 ticks (33*5 = 165 ms) or 4 ticks (33*4 = 132 ms). To reach 132 ms threshold we need atleast 14% cooldown recovery.

The formula is:
"Cooldown time needed" = "base cooldown time" * (100 / (100 + "cooldown recovery speed increase"))

150 * 100 / 114 = almost 132 ms

1 / 0.132 = 7.57 aps

So, we need to get as much closer to this aps (with 14% CDR), but not higher.

I want to try my hand at crafting a good ring for the first time rather than trading, and need help deciding which crafting method would be best to get a good ring for this build. The priority list of mods is short, but the nice-to-have list is enormous.

Base(s):

• 84+ Elder Coral Rings (using Mark of the Shaper as other ring)

Highest Priorities:

• (basic) T1 Life {p}

• (basic) T1-3 Lightning Resistance {s}

• (Veiled) Shock Enemies on Focus {s}

Any of these would be great to have:

1. (Elder) Life Gain on Hit {p}

2. (Elder) Mana Gain on Hit {p}

3. (Frigid Fossil) Cold Leech {p}

4. (Elder) Fire Damage to Spells {p}

5. (basic or Essence) Increased Cold Damage {s}

6. (Prismatic Fossil) Increased Elemental Damage {s}

7. (Elder or Essence) Global Crit Multi {s}

8. (basic or Essence) ES {p}

9. (basic or Essence) Str/Dex {s}

10. (basic) All Attibutes {s}

11. (basic) Fire/Cold/Elemental/Chaos Resists {s}

And a bunch of the bench crafts would also be good options if multi-modded in future.

Alt/Regal (eventually multimod)? Alch/Chaos spam? Essence (Hatred, Sorrow, Rage, Scorn)? Fossils (Pristine, Prismatic, Frigid, Metallic, Aetheric)?
