Found a slightly different setup that is working great for me.
Just over 7.0 APS w/ 14% CDR belt combined with ES on hit watcher's eye is a really nice defensive setup. Had to sacrifice some crit multi to get there but guardians are dying in <5 seconds anyways.
Can get to the 7.5aps cap when I switch around some jewels and get a cyclone enchant. Feels great and allows me to use leap slam comfortably.
With your attack speed that high you dont need diamond flask or much more than 50% crit to fall into max CoC proc range.
It can only pop off 7.5x a second you are giving it 14 opportunities with cyclone and 7 IAS.
Not entirely false, not entirely true either.
If 2 crits are one after another, only 1 will proc. You need still pretty high crit chance for consistent procs.
To find an effevtive crit chance needs some weired math which I dont plan to do :D Id guess about 80% - still just a guess though.
True but odds of rolling heads 3-4x in row are very low. Obviously I think high crit low IAS is better to get optimal proc but for those using whirl/SC and want to haul ass this is a good setup.

Cant wait to share with you my plans in 5-6 days. I should be looking at 7.5k life + 1200 ES with my current gear - DPS annafected and mana problems (which i never personally had but owell) improved.
Look forward too it. Don't leave us hanging tho..what about hint brudda?:P

I'd focus on spell crit and multi.

Dropped diamond for granite, and dropped power charge nodes for doom cast wheel.
Ran a couple guardian maps and there is no noticeable difference in crit rate, feels really good. Thanks again.
Grabbed the 15% cyclone IAS helm enchant and i'm sitting @ 7.2aps now

mrpetrov tree reminded me I should use more jewels (wanted to avoid them at start of league for obv reasons, forgot to rethink about it) and also dropped Purity of Flesh for Tireless (helps mana a lot). From there connect to constitution.

Not a big fan of cyclone what would i need to change in order to use frost blades? If its even viable in this setup

Just jumping on the hype train to tell you that I'm having a blast with this build. 4th build I try this league (Mjolner Jugg, Molten Strike Jugg, Soulwrest Necro) and it's easily my favorite. Great clear speed, the shattering eargasm, the single target deletion...just perfect. Just missing a bit more life, but I can live with that (sometimes). Good thing I came here today and saw you talking about updates. Was about to buy some upgrades. Will save the coin and wait for them. Cheers, and thank you for the great guide!

The best alternative would be blade flurry. Changes are that you would need way more attack speed to reach 6/7.5 APS, but it's doable.

Id go for 110+ life on rares, very easy to find this league with the new enchants.

I’m in my phone, but a big question for me is which delivers more dps: 120% increased damage, HoI or aspect of the spider?

off the top of my head im unsure, but i believe hoi is vastly outperformed by aspect of the spider, and i dont intend on incorporating it into my final version of the build.
