So I wake up today and my account is locked with NO notice. You just lost a customer!

Posting this on my alt forum account as obviously I can not even contact support directly via PM. You guys have some of the worst customer support I have ever seen.

I started using the forums about 3 weeks ago since I wanted to start streaming PoE regularly on twitch and noticed many players being muted/banned and otherwise thought policed by the moderators. Since I do not cheat or have done anything against ToS there is only one possibility of how my account was locked.

At the end of last week someone made a smart ass comment in a thread "is arc the only viable league starter" about how I must RMT if I think a Poets Pen can be used on a fresh league start and I SARCASTICALLY replied "I RMT." instead of arguing with the kid.

So now I am just supposed to wait over a month for support to send me some generic response that will lack any information as to why my account was locked? You mean to tell me you see that comment and just lock an account with over 2k hours that has multiple legacy items from playing for the last 3 years with zero investigation or even a damn notice email?

I absolutely regret the hundreds of dollars in micro transactions I have bought from your company and will never support GGG again. This is pathetic. Even if you do unlock the account I am not risking playing on your platform. There is no way on this earth I am going to invest so much time and effort into playing PoE for so long to have some idiot just flip a switch and remove all of that without any knowledge of the facts.

It was fun up until now but I am moving on. Uninstalled PoE and will not be risking my TIME which is the most valuble thing I have. If you are a new player I HIGHLY suggest you do not enagage in this forum! 3 years of playing with zero forum activity and everything is fine and in 3 weeks I get locked because a mod does not know what the term sarcasm means. Do yourself the favor and do NOT use these forums!

Sounds like you got what you deserved.

Why would you even say that to begin with. It's like some kind comes up after worlds and accuses your team of cheating and you look over at him and say "yup we cheated". And are then surprised RIOT is at your door asking you questions and digging through your account history.

GGG are doing what they anyone would do. You think a cop is going to risk that guy that said he's going to shoot up a school to be just a joke?

Honestly nobody here is going to throw you a pity party and the nonsense that GGG are thought police is just totally off the rails that I suspect there is more to this story than your half. That actually threw off red flags for me as does the whole "I spent hundreds of dollars but no more" BS that everyone who is caught RMTing or banned says.

Maybe next time, just walk away from the thread or post or chat. Is someone holding a gun to your head to reply to everyone??? You have to take accountability. You basically walked into a bank and said "I have a gun, give me all your money... jk"

GGG (and any online game) have ZERO tolerance when it comes to RMT or violating any of their TOS. What did you think they would do? Just LOL at it? God, you are actually dumb and the fact you can vote and whatnot, I don't even know man. If you're not adult enough to see this is your own doing...

He said he never posted on the forum until 3 weeks ago. You are the one who does not understand what you read.

And for the record. Pointing out that someone did something stupid and should take responsibility for their own actions is not whiteknighting.

This has nothing to do with what GGG did. That is the point both you and the OP are missing.

I found the post, read your reply and saw your account also doesn't have the "banned" tag. I'm guessing they are probably locking the account and looking into your account to see if you did RMT maybe. You also just said, "I RMT" with no lol, or just kidding, or something to just show you were joking.

****edit**** though I could understand too, why would someone just announce they do that anyways, pretty sure no one would be that stupid.

If you go into the chat in any online game and say you are using cheats/hacks im pretty sure you would get banned in any game that actually monitors chat and care about fairness. RMT is the same thing. They probably locked your account while looking into it to see if you actually RMT'd or not.

As I see it: Either you RMT, which makes you [Removed by me]. Or, you lie on the forums, telling people you RMT, which makes you even more [Removed by me]. Tell me, how's anyone supposed to interpret "irony/sarcasm" from the words "I RMT"?
