Each spell has a 4 second cooldown. Since you trigger way more often, that'd be a waste of the possibility to trigger 2 more spells.
You might as well just trigger Frostbite with the weapon and keep the other two slots for EE or whatever.

But you can have multiple LB's and they would be applying the curse. Manually cast FB as needed on bosses.

Tbh I'm not the biggest fan of curses. -60%(or even 80%) effectiveness on bosses means only ~ 20%(or just ~10%) reduced resistance. FB applies -25% through cold exposure.
If you want to weave in Frostbite, cast it manually. Casting Frost Bomb manually is a bigger pain as you have to cast twice as often(cold exposure lasts only 5 seconds, Frostbite lasts ~10 seconds).

Can somebody try to find what i'm doing wrong with my build? I have 30+ ex in gear and everything looks pretty much identical to the guide build with 11k ES but my damage seems to be very very low, doing almost no damage at all to t16 bosses.

Ghazzy, I see you wiped your character and rerolled it into skeleton minions? Is Vortex really that bad? I see your 2nd character is a ball lightning miner for Awakener farming?
Doesn't look too encouraging, I'm slowly starting out with this one :(

Forbidden Power instead of Profane Bloom should be better against bosses. That being said curses kinda suck against those.
I'd rather use another amulett instead of Solstice Vigil(ES, cold/spell damage,...). Can get more out of that. Actually you left out a lot of opportunities to get "#% increased Cold/Spell damage" and similar mods on your other gear as well like wand and rings.
Plus the Malevolence Watcher's Eye. Also big damage.

Other than Ghazzy's guide:
There's the "Nearby enemies have -9% Cold resistance" on helmet as well, too.

And an anointment like Tranquility on the amulett would also be huge - especially with the amount of ES you're sporting.

Some changes to the tree are possible as well for a bit more damage at the cost of ES.

I don't know about ghazzy, but for me this char is good enough, metamorph are easy, bosses are easy, only thing I failed is Sirus, but that's because I tried it only once, don't know the fight well enough.
Seems like to me he gave up the build after Sirus fight, but Imo that's just because nobody knew how to handle the fight yet.

Edit: Tried sirus onece more, and i guess I see why he rerolled, at last phase, dps too low, takes too long, dangerous phase. Need some serious dps to wrap up last phase i think

Use Heartbreaker weapon swap for culling.

I'm wondering why no one uses Potency of Will notable? For 4 skill points you get 10 int and 45% skill effect duration, isn't it MASSIVE QoL improvement?

Do yourself a favour and switch to LowLife or the Trickster version. The boss HP buffs and metamorphs make playing this version of vortex a real chore. Red Maps and bosses take forever and you need to invest a lot more to make it remotely enjoyable
