Never spend anything worthy in one sitting! If you need 6sockets use 5socket average jewel number(140 is the number you will definately get 1 5sockets) so this is how much you should spend each time on trying to get 6sockets.

If i dont get 5sockets after 20jewelers i stop. I even got 6 5sockets after using 140 jewelers in one sitting. Didnt got 6sockets but this is the method that is definately more successfull than throwing all in one sitting.

P.S. there was a game - battle.. something with cards where you buy boosters. Smart people knew if you buy boosters at certain hour you get much much better cards! Same could be applied here.

Double edged sword. If you use your currency for what it was meant for (crafting) , you end up playing a crap shoot and loosing your socks with nothing to show for it. If you use the currency for buy / trade power, well than, wtf is the fun in that , you cant craft at all.

POE boasted such a killer crafting system, and IMO, its a bullshit attempt. Each to their own, as there is definitely people that like it.

Kinda like the unlimited build posibility promoted with the passive tree... ya - heard that story before.

Its not for all bro, maybe next time dont risk all your power on the hope that RNG is at your side, with the consequence that you are powerless if it isnt...

Disagree. If your going to buy your gear why not have an AH. I personally want to craft but the crafting does suck!

They RNG numbers need to be changed. This game is making more enemies than friends. Chris and his self-righteous pals can go choke on a rugby ball.

Crafting is definitely broke and it was what I was most excited about.

The SAME thing happened to me with my Erqi. Seriously, the hell is wrong with jewelers orbs and high end uniques? I got 6 socket in about 4 other garbage uniques, and another 12 rares that were nothing, and always in 20 or fewer jewelers orbs. Then I tried to 6 socket my Erqi and it was just a wall. Just like what you had. It made no sense, it was as if it COULDN'T be 6 socketed, like it was a bug or something. I spent all of my currency, every last bit of it trying to get it to 6 socket. I was intending to use it all to try for 6 LINK, and never imagined I would be using it all just on the stupid socket part.


Makes you feel like there's something wrong when two people and a couple thousand jewelers orbs STILL doesn't give one 6 socket one time.

i think you just need another 1ß00 jewlwers. Then you will get the 6 Sockets for sure!!

crafting in this game is awful and by awful and youre better off hoarding currency and trading it for what you want.

16 jewelers + 7 fusings for 5L ilvl:62 crusader plate
i guess that was damn lucky :D



yesterday i used 39 jewelers and ~10 fus to get 2L+4L ilvl:60 abyssal axe

I found this bow with 1 socket.

It took 5 jewelers to get 6 socket. And after 3 fuse I had 4L+2L which is good enough for now, since the bow I was using before was just 4L.
