I'm glad they've finally added a unique character to the experience, and I knew the only reason it didn't happen earlier was because of the item farm state. While you say you can farm Headstaver or Perpetus as easily, that's not true at all. You can literally ctrl-click to the new unique from Prisoner's Gate repeatedly.

The temptation for botters would be impossible to resist. Hell, I'd do it.

The difference between ctrl-click respawn boss, kill for loot, and waypoint in, run to known area (killing things on the way) and kill boss is quite large in terms of scale.

It's not like the soldiers at the barricade dropped anything decent before.

To see a thread like this started (and contributed to) by respectable, long-term players is really sad. This is something I'd expect from people who don't care about the game overall and only give a shit about their personal loot experience.

Get over it.

We cant be expected to post balance related opinions and feedback in the bug forum either, not to mention theres no bug in the first place, so the dev reply essentially ended that thread.

Edit: Bug forum thread became a beta feedback thread. Consolidated all my opinions and suggestions here.

My criticisms arent based on loot greed, but rather on the precedent itself, which i think is terrible. I clearly didnt expect them to leave the boss and his minions right there at the entrance to be 6p botted, and several suggestions to fix this were offered in the thread- elongating the canyon and moving the boss and his minions away from the glyph would have worked fine.

An unbelievably lazy and baffling solution. If making a boss lootless is the only viable solution, then scrap the boss. In an arpg, bosses drop loot. Full Stop. It's practically one of the core tenants of arpgs.
Or make him teleport at half life, as Piety in crematorium, problem solved. He can even assist Piety in the crematorium and die there, dropping something.

Sorry for the confusion there, KoTao. I moved it from bug reports because it's not a bug and figured an existing thread renders this one a duplicate. Since Wittgenstein, in his infinite wisdom, unlocked this one, I'll go ahead and lock the other one.

While I can understand a boss that is easily farm-able dropping no loot I can also agree that it is odd a defeats what arpgs are about(gime da loot!)

I surely do not want to kill a monster that will drop nothing let alone a unique one that should be semi challenging...
