High CPU Usage and Low Performance in Path of Exile 2

Same issue here, 100% cpu usage on loading screen and freeze my cpu sometime

Guys I am still having this problem. Has a solution been found or are we waiting for an update ?

My cpu usage was always through the roof and I managed to get it down to around 20% even in delirium with a ton of particles.

Even if you don't use them, try disabling Nvidia Overlay AND Steam Overlay.

No, no updates. Hopefully something soon. Desperately need some type of optimization. Ppl posting in here of their fix are mostly user error.
game is basically unplayable.

90fps+ in hideout, and often dropping to below 20fps in fights.

Scaling resolution down to the lowest or changing any other graphics settings doesn't help get any more performance at all.

None of the other fixes proposed by people like changing the chat channel or updating BIOS worked for me.

I also get areas where my game completely freezes below 1fps, like in the hourglass room of Sekhema Trial floor 2. Seems like something weird is going on with shaders or CPU.

Some maps feel butter smooth and other maps just have my CPU struggling. I feel that as well.

I'm all for improved graphics but I wish optimisation was the priority. People used to and still play Diablo 2. Clearly graphics are welcomed but not the make all be all for a game.

I played about 150+ hours without issues on proton (via Vulkan). But recently I got weird CPU usage issues - game start to stutter and fps drops even if I just moving mouse around.

Well I didn't just wanna edit my post here, also I wanted to add another bump. My buddy I duo with is on Xbox series X and he also seems to have the same fps issues as me at the same times as I do. I'm sure his Xbox is going though the same stuff as our pc's. I have tried a lot of options nothing seems to work and he has even fewer options on Xbox. I really really hope they have plans for optimizations at some point.

same here. when I load a new zone, my cpu spikes at 90-99%, sometimes slowing the pc down dramatically. Then, sometimes takes up to 2 minutes to recover, very rarely fully freezes my pc, forcing me to reboot.
