[POE2] Disconnects PC from internet when trying to log in.

Foreword: My internet works fine; other applications are operating correctly and has access to internet.

I was playing POE2 and during the middle of the game, my ping spiked to 21,000 and then the game disconnected. Not only did it disconnect from the internet so did it disconnect my computer from my internet. All my other devices and still connected to the internet when it happened, hence I ruled out it's a router issue.

I restarted my pc to see if something to do with my computer, every other application runs as intended and has access to internet.

So I opened POE2 again and tried to log in, after a bit it says unable to log in, and then all my other applications dropped off the internet, this includes discord and edge.

I'm not really sure where the issue is, since it happened during the middle of my play time, and I haven't done anything different.

I've clean installed the game, and still the same problem. Has anyone else had this issue? And please help me resolve it.

Have you figured out the issue? I also had the same problem.

When PoE 2 is opened, connection just dropped, cannot connect to any of the server. Browser (Brave) is showing either no internet connection or blocked by firewall. Everything is back to normal when I exit PoE 2.

Edit: it resolved by itself without doing anything...

Edit: I went into my router settings and changed from WPA2 to WPA2/WPA3-SAE and its working again suddenly. Maybe the same will work for you.

Same happens to me. My PC works fine, until opening POE2. Thought it was an ISP issue in the beginning, but it starts happening at random times as soon as I open POE2. As soon as I close it down, there are no issues again. Using Ubiquity Dream Machine as router and connected through ethernet. My phone and other devices does not lose connection. Just wanted to add to this so devs see that it's not just 1 outlier it happens to, but more people.

Update: So, I've tried many things to fix it, which came down to restarting my router. After troubleshooting it with my friend we found out that, through the in-game interface my ping would constantly go up to the point of 5 digits and it would eat up all my bandwidth which affect all my other programs. I think the increase in bandwidth might have shocked my router which caused the disconnects and affected further programs.

Download and upload speeds were consistent with before the problem arose, so it wasn't a software or hardware issue. We also did ping test by consistently pinging google so see changes, where each time I attempt to do anything that requires me connecting to others it would spike up and fluctuate which is not what supposed to happen.

This might be needed to look further into, so it won't happen in the future.

I had the same problem with poe1 a year ago, completely bricked my internet every time I opened it. I ended up getting a new wifi card and that seemed to fix it, but now poe2 does weird things as well. I have 50 megabytes of download speed yet if I have Twitch open while poe2 is I get gigantic ping spikes in game and constant video freezing. Maybe it's another fault wifi card, but I don't know. It could be some Windows setting or the motherboard/processor I guess. My router and network card are both different than last time. It's weird that it's only PoE games that cause the issue
