[POE2] Disconnects PC from internet when trying to log in.

This exact problem was happening for me.

System:
ASUS ROG B760-I
Intel i7 12900k
3090
64gb RAM
1tb M.2 SSD

Everything from my intel LAN driver being deleted, requiring further installation, all kinds of issues in event viewer. I even went into my router logs to see that for some reason the router (Netgear) is logging 'DoS Attack' whenever I started POE2. It's not a DoS Attack, but I wondered if both the game and my mobo's multithreading/hyperthreading was the cause of the issue.

I took to steps, after two nights of reinstalling windows, steam and the game. A separate issue I had was the previous m.2 was dying. Got a new M.2, same issue was happening. So I took two steps to get it all working again.

1. Start the game, before logging in - go to options, uncheck the multithreading option at the bottom of graphics tab.
2. Restart PC, go into BIOS and disabled my 'hyperthreading'. Depending on mobo, your BIOS may call it something else.

I hope this helps folks that are going through the same issues with ethernet/connectivity drops when launching POE2.

I am having an issue where I constantly disconnect within minutes of playing. No matter what server I select. I am also playing through steam. POE2 will make my PC freeze up when taking the portal to places and I have to manually hard boot my PC. Devs please fix all these issues when you find the time. Thank you in advanced!

I’m experiencing the same issue at the moment. POE2 ran smoothly during the first two weeks after the game’s launch, but suddenly, starting last week I can no longer log in. Every time I press the login button, it shuts down my entire PC internet connection. I never have this issue with any other games. Interestingly, the game will run when using my phone's personal hotspot. I'm certain that the game is triggering a conflict the Windows 11 or router firewall settings, which needs to be fixed.

Same issue with me. I can not connect to any of the login servers. Game worked fine for 30 hours and now I have not been able to connect.

My internet does not drop but it seems like game can not connect.

Does anyone have a solution?

Same problem here internet disconnects after 5 minutes before this patch it happened sporadically and i was able to finish the campaign but now it's too frequent to play

have the same problem, pc lost internet connection every 3-4 min when poe2 running

Same issue for me. The game manages to break internet connection for the whole PC - nothing else can connect to the internet.
It never happens outside of playing PoE2, and other devices connected to the same router can still access the internet.

Would be great if the game did not mess with the connection for the whole PC. Just crash and give up, do not take the whole OS's connectivity with it.

Same thing is happening to me. After a few minutes in-game, my internet connection will disconnect. Restarting my computer and router does not fix the issue. There is another computer in the house that doesn't have this problem. As long as I do not play the game, my connection to the internet works perfectly
