Is there any plan to fix the economy? 1 divine orb worth 541 exalted orbs right now, that's ridiculous. Exalted orbs has no use because the item tier system is too punishing, and useful omens are very rare. you need to add some variables other than omens so players would use their exalted orb, preventing inflation.
for example, make it so that dropped tier 5 equipment retains its specialty even after identified. meaning you can't get a tier 1-4 modifiers on T5 items when you use exalted orb on it. player will get tier 5 modifiers minimal on T5 items. and then, add T6-T7 items on hard map (T16 waystone + 3 deliriums + corrupted + irradiated) Or: give "players can get in to the map after they die once" modifiers in waystones. meaning, you can still go into your map even after you die, but only once. put it both in prefix and suffix so players will use their exalted orb to get that mod. Or: give an option to gamble item using exalted orbs instead of gold from alva. make it rewarding, that you always either get T5 ++ items or normal items like normal sapphire ring or normal stellar amulet so people can use orb of chance on them. |

" Gotta say, I'm happy to see any attempts at improving mapping but I stopped trying to do it much. Simply not worth it for the item or currency drops. I will drop in and do some with a party to collect gold to use at the item exchange once every couple days maybe. |

I guess there really is a first time for everything...
I've been playing games for more than 20 years and I had my fair share of teasers that did not increase my desire to play a game (neutral reception). But this is the literal first time an update teaser actually made me want to play less and pushed me closer to uninstalling. And I'm saying this as someone who dropped PoE 2 after "only" 110 hours into my first character with no desire to create any new ones (despite all the brand new classes, skills and ascendancies). Endgame is a complete borefest: - Exploring the Atlas only to find uninteresting clusters of nodes is boring - Running an optimization algorithm to find the best path across towers is boring - Running towers is boring (now even more boring in 0.2.0) - Activating tablets is boring and unrewarding (now even worse since towers can "steal" a tablet's added mechanics) - Running maps is boring and unrewarding GGG you literally recorded your mistake and posted it in the teaser: look at the joke that that Breach encounter was. Your marketing team even cut the teaser short because that was going to be a ridiculous display of how unrewarding the change is. You don't want to listen to feedback, at least look at what you literally recorded in the test version of your update... | |
Now I'm worried, GGG. I've only defended poe2 until now but the gems and uniques are meh and now the towers thing is very worrying. Whatever you do, please keep poe2 a different feel from poe1 (less zoom zoom, more responsive, as it mostly is), but PLEASE just let us chain maps and other content. Nobody wants to run maps to get to a tower that will partially buff future maps but only in an area that also contains what you've already ran. It is so so so so bad and full clearing a tower and spending that little juice on the very bad layout that towers have only makes it worse and shows you're going in the wrong direction.
I've seen several ideas for towers and I will give one more: instead of affecting x maps in a radius, let tablets affect the next x maps you run. This way we can just keep playing, not stop every map to decide how to juice then run 10 maps so we can then run 3 juiced ones. This way we would just accumulate buffs, use different tablets, and just keep track to eventually run a few towers here and there to keep the juice up. BTW I love Phrecia's idols, my white tier magic maps never felt so nice |

If people use divine orb for items, it means the demand would increase and divine orb will get more expensive, right? if you're saying that divine orb have a lack of sink, that means people don't use it, so there would be excessive supply of divine orb, which supposed to make it cheaper, relative to exalted orb. I know that divine orb is practically useless except for trades. and when compared to mirror of kalandra (1:1500 rn), it's perfect to say that divine orb is also experiencing an inflation. however, the equipment prices in the trade website don't change too much. that means, if we forget about kalandra's price, the actual value of divine orb does not change, at least not drastically. what I'm saying is, if you add divine orb's functionality without doing anything to exalted orb, the demands for divine orb will skyrocket even higher, and will get way more expensive compared to exalted. this will be hell for single, casual player who can only get 1-2 divine orb drop every 12 hours if they're lucky. in 12 hours, you can get 50-75 exalted orb, and I think the ideal value of divine orb should not be more double than that (100-150 exalts per divine orb) |
