PoE 1 ZOOMERS WON'T BE EVER HAPPY IN PoE 2

"They" supported and funded POE1 so that POE2 would be possible and your take is to basically tell them to get lost? Brilliant marketing strat.
And yet even PoE 2 playerbase is playing the most zoom zoom builds availables.
Half the meta is Amazon LS right now.
Archmage/Gemling were the most popular builds in 0.1
Nobody is actually playing the slow and tedious builds. If the vision is to bring every class down to Sorceress 0.2, this is not going to end well for the game.
i really think most of the people that are so against the poe1 vets are either trolls, never finished the story or will do it once and never come back so its really pointless to listen to them xD
I am actually zooming right now the way I do in PoE 1. Well, not exactly as fast, obviously, as I have Mageblood there but still. And completely SSF by the way
Because the game sucks. How about instead they re-name it to something else and start giving us leagues every 3 months in PoE 1 again? Then I literally wouldn't care what happens with this game.

The problem is that PoE 1's development is suffering for this mediocre joke of a game plagued by The Vision TM. If they can't manage 2 games at once that's a whole different problem, but how hard is it to just split a team of people 50/50 and let them make content for both games? It can't be that complicated lmao

I like to have a game, I can play without getting punished for learning more than retry but rather unplayable/enjoyable, if you do not know what is happening and actually play the game.
That is a game, I can look up to hc in and say, ok these dudes really know/love/own the game.
Now, all of a sudden, the ranking has meaning.
What I would do is just always ask either respawn in place or checkpoint.
Always have 6 portals.
Flaten the xp curve.
Keep xp loss on death.
Anyway, requires a lot of balancing still. There is no creep in the game. You get lucky or not. Walls everywere.
It doesnt need a wall/trial/missing crafting bench, if blasting is fun.
Both feel just placed to have an obstacle for the player.
These kind of things are usually used to make up for poor balancing. Here it seems like they are selling it like 'not a bug but a feature. Just an example. It was fun to just do maps to get get the cube along with the story in d3. They even put a lot of traps in that area that could actually kill you. What I try to come down to is the unnecessary rng factor.
The game is already really fast. Any faster and I cant keep up anymore. With zooming you mean ultimately something like blink autobomber? There is an item in the game you can do it with. And everybody should get it after a respectable but reasonable time ssf.
imagine doing 20 hours campaign and 12hr for every second, third, etc characters every 3 months for 10 years. That is how we see it. We dont see it as one time playthrough.
Surely therer must be a healthy middle ground somewhere between the vision described in OP and the tedious grindy slog fest that POE2 is in 0.2.
