PoE 1 ZOOMERS WON'T BE EVER HAPPY IN PoE 2

"
They made themselves believe that game starts in maps.

They want to skip campaign and they will ask for:
Movement skills and Quicksilver flask to avoid monsters or any danger
Smaller maps, checkpoints, skips so they can zoom-through asap

Lol, imagine this we do what your implying, remove all way points, check points, movement speed off boots, hell lets remove the dodge roll, all movement speed modifiers off the passive tree and lets remove end game mapping the game is done after the death of the act 3 boss. Lets see if you will enjoy the game still after all that is done and will want to replay it!

"
They want to play the minimap, just like PoE 1, so they will ask for any objects that block their movement to be removed, because they don't want to look at the actual game. Essentially wanting a flat open field without a single rock.

They want passive skill tree to solve all their issues like resists or stats, so they don't need to "waste time" on looking at the gear.

Umm, yeah the passive tree is meant to be build defining and solve problems with your current build? Would you like automated stats while were at it as well like a 90's RPG with no passive tree.

"
They want 30sec map time otherwise their dopamine levels drop and they feel like shit actually playing a game longer than a minute without a spike.

They want juicy drops from every rare and strongbox. If not, the game is bad.

If strongboxes dont give decent loot everyone's just going to not interact with them, risk vs reward.

"
They essentially want PoE 2 to be a re-skin of PoE 1 to have everything above. Because for some reason, even if PoE 1 has all that, they want it in PoE 2.

No, not even remotely true. Whats concerning is there taking away from the development of POE 1 to support POE 2. If it didn't hinder POE 1 at all, I promise you no one would care about POE 2. To be honest, if POE 2 doesn't start repairing itself one of two scenarios are going to happen, either they size POE 1 development and just focus entirely on POE 2 or POE 2 gets the boot as a lost title and they pull the team back to a income producing game such as POE 1. End of the day GGG is a company looking to turn a profit not continue to bleed funding.

"
They will spam forums, reddit and sadly most of these PoE 1 zoomers are streamers, so they are trying to make noise.

They don't want to, but with their constant crying, they will eventually fuckup the game for anyone else who actually want to enjoy the campaign, have meaningful combat and appreciate the game as a whole.

Jonathan is awesome!
Mark is awesome!
GGG is the best!
Thanks guys, keep up your vision, you are on a good track.

You know what maybe we should just leave POE 2 alone and let it crash lol seems like you guys are enjoying it just like it is, but don't cry when the dev support leaves and you have to wait 5 years for a patch.
I'm not a "Zoomer" and i hate the slow game play. It may feel meaningful in the campaign but that is not what will keep people coming back every 3-4 months.

Poe1 was successful. Now its dead because of this vision.

Poe2 crafting is essential d2 crafting where every item is a 50/50 chance to be trash or good and you have no real agency over the outcome.

Hey, would you be willing to help me through my 1st Trials of Chaos? I wanna see how you stack up to Bahlak, the stupid bird that does the tornadoes.
PoE2 is slow and tedious, it's a fact.

"They" supported and funded POE1 so that POE2 would be possible and your take is to basically tell them to get lost? Brilliant marketing strat.

This is a really distorted view. POE1 was free to play. I paid for it because it was fun.. we are not bankers investing in the future. we are consumers buying a game. GGG doesn't "owe" me or you or anyone anything. If you dont like their products, stop buying them.. if you do.. then enjoy..

You can only make that statement if poe is a side game for you. If you're fully invested into this game it feels really bad to see it feel terrible from your point of view. Give us poe1 back. Then poe2 will be the side chick. This should be the opposite.

I don't see poe2 being a main game for any poe1 player.
+1

agree with OP
If I'm going to play a story campaign ARPG, then I play grim dawn, which does it far better than poe2. regardless of how I play poe1.

the only arpg campaign i've played that is more boring than poe2 is diablo 4.
Drop rates are clearly balanced around people blasting maps. Slow and methodical build will make you stay poor ^^

While I am not one of the "zoomer veterans" of PoE1, I know a lot of them, and you can find many comments from them on this topic.
The "movement speed" issue is mostly problematic because GGG wants us to do "combos" but doesn't give us the time to do so.
Checkpoints are meaningless, literally. It's not like you just get teleporters when you enter a zone and can skip stuff now; instead, you still have to walk the distance and discover these checkpoints. They are only useful for ppl who have poor clear and backtrack a lot.
And yes, the areas ARE too big. You can clearly see that the size of areas was made when flasks and higher movement speed were in PoE2, then they removed the speed, but did not adjust the areas in any shape or form to make it feel reasonable.

It's not about "solving all issues", it's about "having options to solve issues".
If you invest in resistances on your tree, you trade offensive power for that.
It's meant to be a temporary solution if your gear can not provide it.
Do you know how many characters I started mapping with 0 resistances?
"Looking at gear" doesn't magically spawn the stats I need on the item.

I like the campaign and the slower pace way more in PoE2 than PoE1, BUT there has to be something besides the slog.
Tell me, how many "Expeditions" did you encounter in the campaign?
Tell me, how many "Breaches" did you encounter in the campaign?
Tell me, is the "meaningful combat" in a room with us?
