The trials are the worst content I have ever suffered.
" Don’t worry — tons of people feel the same. It’s like missing a jump in Mario Bros and suddenly you're back at Stage 1, questioning all your life choices. Trials should be shorter, not a full-blown endurance test with boss-level patience requirements. Ignore those who try to put you down — they know they're exaggerating when they say people just want a one-button solution to win every trial. |

" You are PoE1 player. You should know that both sanctum and ultimatum are a niche content and needs specific build to breeze through it. Trials should be fair to all builds and class just like Izaro labs. |

Some of the most disliked content for POE 1 was chosen as the basis for 'Trials' in PoE2. (And for the game.. Expedition gatekeeping 'crafting?' Really??)
I loathe PoE2 trials and the 'Honor' system. It is the most astoundingly obtuse design decision for a high-profile game I've ever experienced... Probably... "Honor" is wholly dependent on "did you accidentally step in the fire" and "behold the majesty of intern-designed content" "rewards." It is not at all designed around testing builds or gameplay learned that is suitable for... the rest of the game. I would rather run 2x PoE1 Labs than a Sek Trial... and I greatly dislike Lab mechanics, too. BUT a LabRunner build isn't necessary to complete all one's Lab runs in PoE1. For most builds in most late-trial situations, having to hunt for even more dedicated currency/buff items the player interacts with NOWHERE else in gameplay.. is necessary to avoid wasting the time one could spend getting their plytime ganked by shoddy design... GG GGG Thanks for attending my rant. :) |

" Agreed. I already disliked Sanctum in PoE1, but it was optional, so you could ignore it. But now being forced to run it for character progression is genuinely dogshit design. My coop partner and I randomly got the "You have no energy shield" minor affliction, which just instantly killed the run? The affliction itself for some reason immediately killed us upon acquiring it. And we still had honor left!! I have no clue how this passed QA. How is any of this fun? The ascendancy system in general is shite but the trials themselves are a joke of RNG unless you have a cookie cutter build or are prepared to grind it. They learned from that mistake in POE1 with some things so that it only really occurred with chase content, unfortunately they forgot that lesson with POE2 and hid needed game systems for progression behind major RNG and grind
Just really poor design and management |

" tbh the spike on difficulty fromt he 2nd to the 3rd is quite harsh |

I am not a big fan of the trials and I been playing POE since Anarchy league. It's not the difficulty of Trials that is the problem it's that I, like many other people, just do not find Sanctum fun.
The fact GGG took mechanics from two leagues with the lowest retention in POE history (Ultimatum and Sanctum) and then used the mechanics from those leagues as a required "test" to achieve your ascendancy shows that GGG was not trying to make the trials hard, they were trying to make them unappealing and unfun as a "cost" to pay. They did the same with lab where it was a long and tedious process to do all the trials (before they nerfed it due to constant complaints). Again, lab wasn't hard, it was just tedious and unfun. GGG relating not wanting to do something as a player and difficulty just baffles me and it really shows their lack of understanding of difficulty in video games. |

I do not *like* the trials, by any means, but if it doesnt feel like I've accomplished something, why am I doing it? The worst thing this game can do is water down the content to loot pinata whack a mole.
Now, I agree that it feels bad... the honor thing is just not a good system. What's worse is when you RNG yourself into a corner and cant get out and you've wasted 45 minutes of play time. TBH I'd love to see something like the challenges get harder but during each break between the three levels there is a reset and start fresh. (just spitballing) When all is one and one all, to be a rock and not to roll
Live for Glory, Honor, Death in Fire! |

" I do not disagree on that. But I think the 3rd trial onwards should be harder.. not LONGER. longer is boring because if you fail at last room you do not want to try it again because of the wasted time feeling. Instead of more rooms, make just harder rooms.. |

same here ..... SO UNFAIR mechanics....!!!!!! you can't choose anything , you got always wost afflictions , lot of time lost , and so on ....
F.CK THAT SH.T !!!!!! learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.
