The trials are the worst content I have ever suffered.

4-th point is basically pinnacle content.

Like, I think that the intention is for you to like, have fun, from just doing the trial. For starters, tokens of a good level are harder to find than waystones of that level. And you should in theory be getting loot as well from just the ascendancy points. So even if you lose, you would be getting nice loot. In theory.

A bit of a problem though - The trials themselves are just pretty awful to play.

Chaos is a complete drag with its mandatory curses. Also, if you want the cool rewards, you have to give up on getting the ascendancy point. It should honestly just give you the rewards from the rooms at the end of the trial even if you fail the trial. And the curses need a huge revamp. Either make curses that are not hell to play, or make them mandatory only every 3 challenges or so. Or something.

As for Sekhemas, it is considerably better than Chaos. But after the second ascendancy point it starts looking like chaos, because the number of rooms increases and the stacking curses start becoming a problem. Not to mention Honour management. But at least you can open chests after each boss.

I actually think Sekhemas would be fun, perhaps even better than maps if not for Honour. And I have to wonder: Is this mechanic really necessary? It's a mess to balance because it inevitably affects some builds more than others.
With smart selection of your choices there is 100% way to avoid this. Never take "can't see bad things" and "can't see ahead on map" unless you're right before final boss.. This is not even a "skill" issue. It is an intellect issue.
I very much agree with the original post. There was nothing wrong with labyrinth. They could have just made a new more interesting/harder version.

I only the first 2 trials and buy the last 2 cancerous ones.

As a hardcore gamer i disagree with you.
Games Should be fun and challenging, but this method isn't fun and stupid.

Hardcore gamers don't whinge like this when met with challenges.

Hardcore gamers realize there's certain sacred water purchases required for a smoother run.

Hardcore gamers realize that if you're not rolling a grand mitigation defense like Evasion/Equipped Shield then you better have incredible mobility moves or debuff/kill your enemies incredibly quickly.

Not many people here could figure out how to make a challenging game without it getting made completely obsolete by gear.
Just describe it to me, the fun <> challenge balance.

There are many hundreds of examples on youtube of people succeeding in this game, so either explain precisely why the challenges in front of you can't be overcome or its just better to be upvoting rants on Poe2 reddit.

Lack of loot is not an excuse, that is overcome by continuing to grind, conditions aren't an excuse, progessing through the trials is intended to be the most difficult content and sometimes you just get unlucky via "the gods and curses" to be and what is the problem with that, that's meme content, there's no excuse to ranting in such a manner.

What else do hardcore gamers have to do exactly? Spend another countless amount of hours on the game they've played to death with all the mechanics and tricks all known? Why can't it instead be continued trial and error on a well put together game like PoE2, overcome it and then post about an awesome drop or challenge that you've actually earned through heavy investment?? Tell your friends and others about the conditions you've overcome and maybe they'll be "woah!".

GGG make games to truly test the human mind and proceed with gameplay cautiously but if players want to "hardcore" on non GGG games that are basically just rollercoasters, that's fine, just live life by the cheap thrills.

Go play warrior build and try to finish trial of sekemas, then post this replay.

I wish that was the last problem in POE2 at this moment.

I don't need to play Warrior or finish the trial completely, I've only ever completed 3rd boss as Monk I have a full time job and other commitments.

I briefly looked on youtube and there's guides for Warrior completing, so how are you still deflecting and then proceeding to make another thread being overjoyed with the success of another arpg you're not even interested in.

Either play the game like a proper "hardcore gamer" or don't complain.
Trials suck because they're not fun.

Nobody liked Sanctum and Ultimatum in PoE1, stop trying to make them work here. Nobody is going to like them still.

Sekhemas isn't even hard, it's just mindnumbingly boring and long. We shouldn't have to do 40+ rooms of the most pointless content imaginable; spamming dodge and pulling levers.

Just let people do 1 floor, with the boss at the end. At least for their ascending.

I agree ascendency locked behind the trials is bs. so I just farm till I find a div and buy all 8. I dont have the patience for that crap.
