In-Game Auction House is Really Needed – Help Average Players

Hi GGG,

I’m a pretty average Path of Exile player. I just made it to maps recently, and only with help from a Discord group. I wanted to give some honest feedback.

1. Trading is way too hard.
Using the trade site feels like a nightmare. Why do we need to use so many different websites to make PoE experience less of a nightmare? It’s confusing and slow, especially for new or casual players.

2. The game is full of bots and exploiters.
This makes trading and the economy even harder for normal players who just want to enjoy the game fairly.

3. Too much info is outside the game.
Path of Exile is already very complex, and needing to leave the game constantly for guides, trading, or help makes it feel overwhelming.

4. Many average players feel ignored.
We don’t have endless time or knowledge. GGG says they want both veterans and new players to enjoy the game, but right now it feels like the game is only made for the hardcore players.

Suggestion:
Please add a simple, in-game auction house. Let us buy and sell items without needing outside websites or whispering dozens of people. It would make the game much more fun and fair for everyone.

and it will be significantly worse if there's an AH. bots and smart players will snipe all the good stuff

not really, that said many people also upprice when u send a whisper.
or simply don't respond cuz of the amount of reposting that happens and botting.

Any way to stop bots using their fancy algorithms to snipe all moderately priced gear to resell at higher prices?

i wish i had the answerd to the question, hopefully GGG can do something more about that incase Auction house becomes reality.

You have to understand how the market works:

People will demand, people will sell.

If an item goes on high demand, the price gets higher.
If an item is oversaturated and nobody buys, they it lowers the price.

Bots can do whatever they want, but if you player are not gonna buy, they will never sell.

In fact bots would stabilize the prices faster, so things are exactly priced as much as people are willing to pay.
That said I'd rather choose we have no bots.

TL:DR

My 100% to a new Auction House inside the game. That is desperately needed.

the way trade is done now has a certain charm. and you want to kill it with mechanical gameplay. you buy not from bots, but from people, communicate, trade.
all you need is to add a seller rating.

It's funny never seeing someone with a pre-POE2 supporter pack BEGGING for an AH in the game.

It's almost as if its pretty much only new people begging to change a major aspect of a game they only recently started playing.

Maybe chill out, take a seat. Enjoy the view. Take it in. You're in good hands, promise.
