Lunaris Temple 2, viable solo farm?

TBH the reason I'm clearing L2 (and Kole if I happen to bump into it) is cause it's on my way to L3. Yeah it's easier, and yeah I'm not killing piety if i'm at 99% xp just in case, but otherwise... if WP was closer to L3 stairs (or when it's closer) I barely kill anything.

To each his own I guess, both areas are much better for loot than catacombs by a mile for some reason. Both areas have unique boss too (not even counting piety) which can make one run a 3 unique mob runs. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I find Lunaris 3 waaaay easier than even white 68 maps. An unlucky spawn in a 68 map can easily yield -15% xp.

During the w/e I levelled from 78 to 80 in L3 without dying while playing uber aggressively and watching tellie. That would not have been possible in 68 maps without biting the dust at least once or twice.

XP/time ratio was definitely better than any 68 maps besides hordes/champions suffix maps. Drops were not stellar though except the 66 maps from Piety. Guess it fulfils GGG's vision of maps being about items not xp.

But now L3-grinding is almost mandatory for leveling to early-mid 80s. This will get old sooo fast. Why not just fix xp from maps and let us have more varied xp-grinding instead of this horrible band-aid.

what are you even talking about? It is absolutely not mandatory to grind Lunaris level 3 into the mid 80's lol.

It is an option, yes. It is a decent option at that. It is in no way mandatory. Also, piety's miscreants, especially tittie bitches and the whip guys, are some of the most destructive mobs in game. You are guaranteed to run into them in lunaris 3, maps is only a chance.

There is also the huge item quantity bonus on maps...

Lunaris 3 is good for restocking some 66 maps, and finishing levels. But I would suggest maps for leveling up as well, with much better chances of currency drops, you will get more maps on average than lunaris, and better chances at landing an upgrade and/or uniques.

I would say doing 66,67,68,69 maps is highly adviseable, with lunaris 3 being good filler.

Kole is just like brutus tactics are the same, mostly running in circles for a few minutes getting one hit here one hit there, well thats how I do it melee anyway.

just make sure you kill the wander guiys before you kill kole, or eat a mini boss corpse explosion to the face when kole goes down.

Titty bitches and whippers are still way easier than any Exposure'd mages or Fleet'd rhoas in any 68 map.

I will say I never run into a rare tittie bitch which is a good thing, I dont know if I have just been fortunate enough to never see one, or if they cant spawn as rare, or are just actually rare, I dont know.

But lmp crit chance tittie bitches can stun lock and kill you from off screen in a heart beat, those things are pretty nasty.

For sure you can get some bad nasty mobs in maps, but it is random chance just like running into a haste aura, lmp, life regen void bearer on the docks is random chance (i saw one of these kill pretty much the entire party of level 75+ characters) lol.

I definitely like that these area's are worth farming now but it will be tough to make maps proportionate.

Since you are grinding in a 68 zone doesn't that make 66 maps worthless? If those are worthless does that mean people will be more annoyed by being forced to go back to 66 maps in order to yield higher level maps?

It would be pretty cool if people just leveled in regular game zones and hoped to reach high level maps from all the 66s saved up in order to pull high Ilvl items.

I would never run a 66 or even a 67. I would simply farm Piety enough to sell my 66s for 68s @ Clarissa.
That would be much better XP wise, and the chance of getting a Kaom's from 66-67 are extremely slim anyway and other items have too low ilvl to be worth anything.

Well since it takes 3 of the same exact map to get a higher map that would mean to go that route from grinding you would first need.

3 66s of the same map for 1 67
then
repeat that until you have a total of 3 67s of the same map.
Then repeat that whole process with the 68s to finally get 1 69.

Sorry that is very confusing to explain, Hopefully that is better.
