Balance is in a worrying state

How do you guys plan to finish balancing this game and complete the early access stage if you deliberately wait four months to make changes?

It feels like PoE 2 isn’t progressing in terms of balance. You fix broken things and add new ones, then people find new broken things, and you wait another four months before addressing them. The cycle just continues.

Possible Solutions.
1. Mid-league nerfs.
2. Public testing before league launches.
3. If everything is OP, then nothing is OP.
4. Separate public test league with constant changes.

Last time they did mid league nerfs most of the forum when OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU hence they don't do that anymore.

Hence we don't get mid buffs anymore either.

You can thank them.

Mid league nerfs will never be acceptable until GGG is able to do them properly.
They would get far less outrage if they didn't constantly OBLITERATE builds to the point of being unplayable.

When they NUKE builds people quit, I would.

Nerfing builds also isn't gonna help balance at all, people will just go to the next best thing until we have more options.
The solution is buffing the shit nobody likes, not going after the things that people do like.

Right. Like after 3 seasons, how are chalupa monk and chrono not just broken op. They don't do anything to make people want to play them above 1%. That should be an obvious slap in the face that half the player base plays one ascendency and their solution is buff it and nerf lower played ascendancies. Not even looking at weapon type %'s. How is mace still so freaking bad compared to everything else. Like, made a new character since mace warrior made me rage with the new abyss. Went huntress and instantly 100x easier just by going range. Same damage, faster, and at range. Night and day differences.

Try Totems on Warbringer with Hateforge gloves and Shouts generate Rage. You'll change your mind real fast about those maces, my friend
Mid league nerfs can continue to get bent,

PTS would be cool though, that idea's a solid one, test environments with feedback tickets are always nice. I think that might actually require a larger team than they have though, to sort the PTR tickets. Unsure
Not to mention they have several more classes and quite a few weapon types to release. I don't think any ARPG can be perfectly balanced (nor should they be each season) - but it'll be 2027 before POE2 is anywhere close. Sadly. I'm anticipating end of 2026 full release.

Seems like everyone (including GGG) forgot that this is supposed to be early access game, with constant updates to things. But no "we want leagues.."

At the earliest. First time I've ever seen a community deliberately slow down a games release and be proud of it. smh.
EA needs to be treated as an EA, by both players and the devs. That means players can't expect a perfect game with no jank, and that their primary purpose in playing the game should be testing and feedback. And that means devs should not be running leagues with supporter packs and lootboxes, and they shouldn't be listening to players who are treating the game as released and focus on developing the game and pushing towards a 1.0 release.
