The giant ape boss (mighty silverfist in campaign) needs a nerf
|
I saw a suggestion in another thread to change the boss so his first action isn't the red slam. That seems reasonable to me, because it's the hardest to avoid. For everything else, the behavior is completely predictable -- once you learn the moveset, you'll win every time.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

I've been hit by him in the campaign and survived. Like the other guy said, his red slam does about 800 damage. By around lvl35 when you encounter him, you should have that much life. Especially if you have some extra ES pieces. But even a pure warrior with only life should have the HP.

try with a shield, see what happens

" sorry usually people complain about the campaign boss monke in maps is literally the same though, if you have really so much trouble be more careful with your map mods or avoid his map altogether yes with 2k life he will one shot you, no matter the maps iirc he deals about 8k at level 80, not sure about the map mods i personally never die to him and as you said i just walk into him and get behind him, right at the start, i dont use any skill or whatever you can dodge it at range too its just more difficult people were complaining so much about the difficulty the game is way too easy right now anyway |

" 1st video seems a bit unlucky with the trigger box 2nd video is 100% skill issue |

If you think this boss is hard, I'm not sure how you're going to kill Citadel Geonor or Uber Arbiter. Lachlan in maps is harder than this boss tbh, he has a slow and hits hard on his slam and it doesn't have a red telegraph.
It is a skill issue. Roll to the side and not on the line of fire. |

" There's no need to make up something called a "trigger box". He was beside the monkey, and died as if being slammed by the monkey. It's happened to me too. I've been very much beside the monkey and still died to the slam myself, more than a few times. I think there is a bug that his sunder is setting a shockwave off on himself on the jungle version, or something like that. I like that there's a dangerous mob that can kill us but something feels fucky with it. |

+1 His first initial slam attacks are too strong like you have no idea he's there and then boom, Killed my hardcore merc >:( was even playing careful but dude comes outta nowhere and just slams you

Never evet got hit by Ape it is hard skill issue. Only sometimes he can hit with some stupid thumble move but its not deadly. If you are eating his slam which has like 1,5sec animation you re a tourist.
