Only read till 'coding'. No one is talking about coding. You're exactly what I mean: you don't understand what a complex system is.

Lol OK sure. I guess if you say so it must be true.

Ok, tell us the difference between coding and a complex system. Let's see.

This is one small example of a complicated subsystem of a very complex interaction that is occurring inside our bodies. I could explain how this is involved with disease states and multiple organ systems such as how during ketosis our bodies produce too much acid which alters the membrane charge on a cell and causes potassium shifts, or how the proteins produced by the liver produce osmotic pressure on the blood volume to keep it flowing, or how things such as altitude changes make this process more difficult for your body to manage because of the sudden difference in concentration gradient. That doesn't even go into the other subsystems involved like the calcium and phosphate buffer system which also effect pH, controlling factors released by the brain to the hormone system, fluid volume, most of which I can explain pretty well off the top of my head.

Interestingly, this entire explanation only covers one half of the respiration problem, there is an equally complex interaction that has to happen at the level of a cell, which also is balancing both the internal, and external environment.

Inside our bodies are thousands of variables that must all be in proportion to each other in order for us to stay alive every minute. Since I have a pretty good grasp on that system, I think that qualifies me to understand the relatively simple lottery machine that an ARPG is.

Other complex systems are things like the universe and the power grid when managing voltage drop on a line with variable loads. Or things like the climate and weather patterns.

Maybe you just can't differentiate between complex systems and coding.

Or maybe I can and you don't like that everyone can see it so you just keep reporting the posts.

So many words, and none of them ansers: "the difference between coding and a complex system". Too bad.

Now that I have fully explained a complicated system that I am intimately familiar with, perhaps we can go back to talking about this ARPG, unless you have some insight or want to continue this discussion about the oxy-hemoglobin curve and the impacts on interrelated systems throughout the body.

Your entire premise was that I did not understand complicated systems. I clearly do.

Instant replies and reports until I ask you to engage with the substance of the argument. It is a pretty complex system, so I understand why you don't want to engage with the argument. Too bad.

Yes, not counting the ones that people gave me... if i count those i have 17

Also at least half that game time was running t14/15 maps with rarity. I cant tell from your post if that is normal but I believe you think that's low. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe I just have the worst luck.

yes thats very low. no you are not unlucky. it underlines my initial argument that getting better at this game would fix all of the things that you complain about.
i get that its not easy to figure everything out on your own. especially if you choose not to look for guides.
but increasing droprates wouldnt change much for you because you can get x10 loot just by getting better.

character progression isnt that bad really and it will get better every patch.

I am not saying I don't have a lot to learn. And I have watched quite a bit of guides and played poe1 so a lot of the systems are similar.

I am just wondering what "getting better at the game" would fix about this? I've cleared hundreds of nodes on the atlas with rarity. What else am I supposed to be doing that I am not? I have been putting 6 mods on my maps and running the highest I can attain (haven't managed to corrupt a t16 yet), and I complete them even with 0 revives most of the time. I was slow at them because my dps was running ~15k for a lot of that until recently when I got some gear given to me that has raised it to 45-50k base so it's faster now. Should I be running lower level maps for (slightly...) faster clear speed? Should i be focusing on like breach or something else? Is there some specific atlas passives that change this fundamentally poor drop rates? I mean, everyone keeps saying to "learn the game", but not giving me much on specifics. I am going to have to even if they add what I'm looking for unless it's coming in 0.4. So I'm open to suggestions.

I don't feel I am that bad at the game, i ran several endgame characters in poe1 and did fine, and I am clearing content fine, if a bit slow due to dps, here. I leveled 2 characters to 85 and played around with a couple others. I have a loot filter and I am grabbing the "best" stuff I find which is worse than what I have been given by a mile, and my dps is not that impressive still at a mere 50k. Enough to do most of the content sure but VERY far from great.

I log on a few hours a night and run maps. I get nothing. How many maps should I be running to get a good drop, either gear or a div? I have run hundreds. I mean I can try to stack more rarity but that's dependent on getting the gear for it and it starts to cut into my defense which my res arent all max already.

your stats dont add up. what did you spend your time on?
over 200 hours and lvl 85 two times is aburdly slow. you couldnt have run hundreds of maps because lvl 85 probably takes like 20 t15 maps to achieve.

It's like pulling teeth around here. LOL I played all day yesterday, up to 235h, ran t15 all day with as many mods as I could unless I died then I grab a t14 just to complete the map, 0 div all day. Another guy in general said he ran like 15 maps got 5 div. Someone else said they "get mad if they don't get a div a map". I am really beginning to think my RNG is just broken.

There is an xp penalty for dying. I guess I died, IDK. Killing yellows can be tricky with that low dps when you get 1 shot if they get close to you. Constantly kiting everything back several screens is slow. My farm speed increased a lot recently though because i was given gear and now i ride my chocobo and everything is dying in a hit or 2 mostly. Yesterday I died like 6x to that guy at the end of the pit/mine thing. I am 89 now i think on my deadeye, maybe a little higher on my monk too idk id have to look, was just estimate. I have a couple other classes that i played that are lower level. When i hit maps my dps was like 11-15k, with terrible defenses so I had to kite everything... a looong ways. No gear or divs would drop which is the entire point of this thread. I had a guy give me pretty good pieces but i had to level to be able to use them, and they were defensive not a bow/quiver.

I tried to ss my atlas map but i guess forum doesn't support. Anyway, whatever I guess believe me or don't.
