Removing Omens doesn't fix crafting... it just removes crafting
|
this game needs crafting bench and something like harvest.

So their main issue with that omen was the player had to rely on tag knowledge. Meaning they had to pull up poe2 db or something. Maybe they plan on adding it back in some other method, but the only way I can think of them doing that is adding multiple currencies that state something to the effect of "adds damage modifier if item already has a damage modifier" or something.
In any case, it would be nice if they could come up with and implement the solution before removing the "problem". Or at least fully articulate the plan to replace it. |

" You dont need perfect items to clear the game, in fact noone needs above average items to clear the game, you guys are just crying babies who want everything handed to you in the easiest way so you can feed your ego, just stop it already, crafting should had been nuked even harder, in just 1 patch they completely ruind ground loot to PoE 1 level, it needed to be fixed period, enough with the currency farming simulator. as a slightly above average gamer in poe. No I will not watch your x min long youtube video to attempt to gaslight me into thinking crafting is accessible. I do this because the average gamer wont care to go search up your video or any other 4 hour long youtube video about how to defeat the gamble crafting system.
Crafting needs to be accessible, viable, and self explanatory and people voicing that are not cry babies. We need less gamble crafting and more deterministic crafting because yes the average gamer needs that to make AVERAGE gear to actually do content |

So glad the homogenizing omens are gone.
People will learn to craft without them it will just take more time for other players than people who know how to craft. Part of POE is skill expression. Not just through gameplay and mechanics, but also know how. Mash the clean

First of all, it’s not my video xD
Secondly, you’re talking nonsense because most players didn’t understand and probably still don’t understand. How Omen of Homogenising works. Besides, you have deterministic crafting. With a Recombinator you can merge two attributes, T7 + T1/2. Then you can have two Essences and a Desecrated one. With a good outcome, this gives you 5 out of 6 attributes in a relatively deterministic way. (minimum 4) Omen of Homogenising was cool, but FAR too powerful at the moment. Besides, we don’t even know what crafting the Temple will provide. |

" Oh but it is =) The OP began by calling the change "back to slot machines" But when challenged, retreated to a claim that's more easily defended, and that no one would actually disagree with. Which is: "We can't min/max as effectively now" That way, he doesn't have to defend the "slot machine" claim, which he knew was false. That's what makes it a "Mott and Bailey fallacy". As Mashgesture astutely pointed out, the OP departed from their original claim. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Последняя редакция: WhisperSlade#0532. Время: 9 дек. 2025 г., 19:10:10

"and this combination of things are the perfect example of how inaccessible crafting is. Not only is it extremely expensive to an average gamer to even attempt these things, they dont even know they can do this. Then once they try they'll get junk. hours and hours of grind down the drain. using all their resources or enough resources to feel punished for even attempting to craft. That will result in them A) never crafting again and opting to hoard and then trade for exactly what they need. B) Real money trading. or C) quit or make a new character. I'd also like to highlight that the inaccessibility of crafting is what drives the real money trading and is why the very loud minority with the knowledge you've just showed, (and touted as common knowledge, which its not at all LOL). keeps protesting deterministic crafting. Deterministic crafting only hurts those organized groups of 8+ who play for 12 hours a day that completely cook the market for their own gain. I also say this as I know someone who does all of this and to him the real game is just the wealth accumulation and market manipulation not even playing the actual game. LOL coincidentally he also advocates for ZOOM ZOOM eyebleeding speeds no one actually enjoys. go figure Последняя редакция: komji#3796. Время: 9 дек. 2025 г., 19:32:43
