As long as Trial of the Sekhemas and trial of chaos exist, poe 2 can never be a good game

People play some crap that doesnt get hit and has 0 ramp and then flood to type "naw that was easy" its exhausting.


We are talking about it being completely unfun, a common sentiment- playing some ranged build that literally doesnt take damage in a trial designed to punish *very specific* playstyles is not you being a giga gamer.

Its even more stupid to expect builds that GET HIT to then sink 45+ minutes into runs to get relics


So you either play something that makes it piss easy or you bash your head against it.


No one is talking about how the mechanics are fun or rewarding
Just people either agreeing or somehow using this as an ego stroke.


Its every game man.

I haven't played a class in this game - melee or ranged - that isn't capable of dodging, blocking, avoiding in some way the vast majority of attacks. What is this mythical build you are playing that is preventing you from.. moving your character?

Also what's the excuse for trial master? Yall can get hit all you want in that one.

You obviously haven't played a melee class that has to have perfect evasion and perfect rolls to not get hit in the Trial of Suckmyass.

learn the game
make mistakes
learn from it

I've played parry/fangs of frost builds, various sorts of quarterstaff or hollow palm shenanigans, various titan builds with earthshatter rolling slam etc, and most recently a bear druid.

And honestly probably more than that over the past year.

None of them require "perfect evasion/rolls" to complete the trial but yes ideally you'd like to get hit as little as possible but there's plenty of a buffer zone between that and getting to the point of failure.

So what build have I not played where this is a thing? Because I havent experienced this on anything I have played.

first two ascendancy trials are pretty rough but very doable.
last two might take a while to grind enough power, but are also doable. (3rd sekh, 4th chaos)
and if you really are incapable of doing it, you can often afford a carry.

and they are both good farming options. i don't like spending my time doing sekhsy things. but i can run chaos trials if i am broke and hit a bit of a wall. they could maybe still use a bit of refinement. but they're in a pretty good place post 0.1 (or was it 0.2?) changes.

sekhema needs the "no evasion/armour" ones nerfed to be in line w/ the "reduced es" and chaos could use some more interesting choices like "increased monster effectiveness" or something or choices that have a positive and a negative to them.
but if they never got changed from where they are rn i wouldn't really be bothered at all.
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

In Sekhema, it is far more important to avoid afflictions than it is to seek boons.
In Chaos, the environmental hazards are more dangerous if you have a squishier character.


My complaint is not that it is difficult, you made that up. My complaint is that is is an awful experience.

Always drop the game by the time i remember i need to run 3rd ascendancy.

Last two leagues in a row i just see how far i can go without taking 3rd and 4th Ascendancy at all which means i take builds that don't need em.

Because opting into a 40 minute torture session is not why i play games


Personally Chaos is doable once your strong enough but its just not fun having the game stack penalty after penalty on you in an RNG fashion??

Trials is by far the worst game mechanic in any game period. Delete it from the game i will never play a single melee build whilst this monstrosity exists, nor will i buy another supporter pack whilst that BS exists.
