Giving up on Vaal Temples

temple is bad but i knew it even before the league started. GGG doesnt understand that people just want fast currency. thats why the "kill mobs get currency" league mechanics were always popular in poe1. you kill mobs in a circle or whatever, get loot and move on. quick and easy. no one wants to spend 10 minutes doing a temple and barely get rewarded for it in the end

As someone who highly values good genre-bending in games and didn't play ARPGS this intensely since D2, I was thinking this would be THE league for me. Putting the underwhelming reward:time spent ration of the Vaal temple aside (which I know is the one major issue for 90 % of people here), again I have to look at third party sites for any relevant info on how to optimize the run. I love the idea of create-your-dungeon as a concept, but this is very flawed to the point I was annoyed seeing the sacrificial pit in campaign run. And since 0.4.0b, when I saw I can't re-enter the same temple run (after leaving about 20 rare items to pick up later, which was possible yesterday), I know I will not be touching it unless major rework comes in 0.4.1. Leaving Abyss as a mechanic while introducing Vaal temples was certainly a bold choice.

I really wanted to like this league mechanic and was enjoying it but, before even finishing the campaign I am pretty much over it. Between the loot already being mostly irrelevant (if the rooms even have anything as I've had runs with no benches in rooms), they stealth patched it so you can no longer leave to go get stuff. You now have to go in with half full bags hoping the benches you want are there and when they aren't, you can't even take out much good loot because your bags are already full.

GGG do better and stop implementing things that actively punish you for engaging in them. I am the opposite of the people who only want to Zoom through maps so I thought this could be something I could get behind but just puts me at an even further disadvantage to do.
