Just lost all my progress on dominus tonight. Playing regular mode, cruel. Went through about 35 portal scrolls and had his second form down to 1/2 life. I hit escape to close out my inventory window, and due to the insane choppy frame rate and desync, somehow it closed out my entire game. Gone. I logged back in but my portal in town was gone.

I had to use about 35 portal scrolls in the first place because the frame rate in the scene with dominus is so incredibly bad. I can't even see where he is on the screen half the time. I just toss fire traps and spam ethereal knives. I end up dying a lot but at least I make slow progress. All the rain in the animation and all the spells and npcs are way too much .

I only have 40 portal scrolls left and they take me awhile to accrue. I don't even feel safe trying to approach end-game with 40 fucking portal scrolls.

I'm in the US. I have 6GB ram, good internet connection, decent graphics card. Other games like D3 look great on my computer, no problems whatsoever. Total BS. I wanted to throw my computer at the fucking wall.

sorry, i just find the fact you had to use 35 TP scrolls to kill dominus utterly HILARIOUS.

You gotta check out how shitty my game plays to really appreciate my handicap. I'm not a fucking idiot who expects to face tank this shit. I had +75 resists on all 3 elemental damages. My dude is a level 60 shadow. Have about 1300HP, doing 1300dps with my ethereal knives on a 5-link chest I found. My fire trap is 700+avg damage. Using whirlwind to get out of tough situations. Double daggers. I feel like if I could actually SEE what is going on I can play the game fine. I have no trouble with any other bosses like this. Sure, I died on Piety but only like twice. I play by myself.
The desync in the rest of the game I can put up with. Random deaths here and there are shitty but don't break the game. But the Dominus fight is just so goddamn choppy and I appear all over the screen, my guy doesn't ever animate throwing knives/traps, it's just pathetic.

PoE's desync is like buying a manual car, that would randomly shift gears without the person even knowing. of course the driver can work around it, and I am sure that if he just drove on flat rounds that the gear change wouldn't effect them too much, but its pretty much agreed that its f'in retarded

No you can argue that a realist would work around that, but a sane person would just say thats a shitty car and would recommend something else
