Crashes during Piety

I have this issue either. Tried 7 times, 7 crash..with this message in windows:

"Unable to MapViewOfFile in MapChunk. Error Code: 8 Offset : 972161024 Size: 16705089"

I believe I'm going on Piety kill # 18 or 19. Of those times, I've crashed about 15 or 16 times. I've only seen Piety skill her loot a couple times. Every time I crash it's the same thing.

Lunaric Temple up until warping in is absolutely fine. The moment I'm in that room, frames drop by half. Once Piety is under 10% hp is when I crash. I've missed out on so many drops simply because of this stupid bug. Each time I get close to her room, I think to myself that MAYBE just MAYBE it's been fixed. I get my answer every time at 10%.

Perhaps instead of making glowy effects and races, this part of the game can be studied a bit more.

This has happened to me 3 times in the last 3 days....

Happens for me on Cruel difficulty (2nd Piety), can't get past it....

heh, won't do it anymore until fixed, not sure how anyone does this long trek for 13 times thinking it's going to work on the 13th one.....

solo shadow bow....get into Piety....after about 2 minutes of the boss battle, she's never more than 40% down on damage, seems at that point the game crashes, hard to tell if she has changed form at that point, still has a program button at the bottom on the taskbar that must be forced closed, nothing comes up when you click on it, says in task manager 'not responding'....kicks you out with this application error in Windows XP Pro, 4gb, AMD Athlon 64 5800, geforce 8xxx crap card, OTHER THAN SOME MINOR D/C'S THAT EVERYONE HAS, HAD NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE OR ANYTHING SIMILIAR....

in events, application error:

Help GGG!

I really want to kill Piety! and play some Exile, help!

EDIT: ran packcheck, all file hashes are in sync (that main 5gb file was re-downloaded like last week after those couple of patches in a row so it is fresh, system has been defragged, checkdisk /f /r ran on main hard drive, what am I missing?

EDIT: i run at 1024 x 768 everything turned way down or off, no shadows on

I had this issue with my 6850amd. After following one tutorial where it advices to uninstal ati with ati tool(official) and install latest drivers WITHOUT installing CCC, it runs much much smoother(still with decent stuttering..) but its much more playable(at least for me)

Yep crashing on Vista 32-bit.

I am running Win-7 64bit with 6GB Ram (Q9550 2.5mhz, GTX 470 AMP!), still have those crashes and unfortnately never managed to fight Piety succesfully yet cause of those crashes (actually one time a crash and one time a disconnect) which in my case occure when using TP to recover flask charges.

Will try with reducing texture quality, see if it helps.
