A couple of examples of how the economy is already getting screwed for the majority of players

Solution: see example 1 & 2.

Considering these things are apparently OK to do, why not do them yourself if you feel left out?

I personally don't, cause I barely trade. I use self-found gear pretty much exclusively. But if you feel left out, why not go ahead?

Yeah, might as well contribute to fucking other people over so long as there's something in it for myself right? Seems to be the general attitude these days anyway.

To be fair, the game is about being self-serving. While I'd never use something like the methods you described, I too would make a profit if the opportunity presented itself in-game.
Would anybody like some... POUNDCAKE?

I agree 91 GCP is rather suspectful. Shouldn't GGG investigate to make sure there isn't a hack or something lol? I heard they found a pretty big item exploit during CB so it's not like there might not be one lurking that we don't know about yet...

that guy who bid 91 GCP needs to have his account investigated by the devs asap

Hm, ok, didn't see the part about d2jsp where you could just buy forum gold, that's indeed a problem.

Altho I doubt GGG can do much about 3rd party websites. D2 had its fair share of problems with RMT back in the days, too.

Its a real problem, and its a hard to solve one as well, as theres no way to track who buys items from the site, and it could effectively demolish the economy.

It is not a real problem, and it will not demolish the economy. If someone wants to trade in game items for 'forum gold' there is no way you can stop them, and you have no reason to care. D2JSP does not create more Currency in game, it is simply a platform for trading... if we start seeing bots,/dupes then you can talk about something ruining the economy, but a trading site cannot ruin the economy.
Welcome to an arpg economy. There's only one "solution" and that's bind on pickup. Personally, I'd rather adjust to the realities of the market than deal with a horrible mechanic like binding.

But it's funny, I knew I'd see the exact same posts here as I saw in D3 forums. People who hate trade economies really shouldn't be playing trade-focused games.

No reason to care? How does someone who simply plays the game to acquire their currency to trade with compete with someone who buys it? It's just not possible. That is every reason to care (well unless you never trade ofc).

You're missing the point, wasn't suggesting they used hacks or they should be banned.
Or you could just rely on your own items like you did in the D2 games and ignore all of the people who adopt a "pay-to-win" approach - it's your choice really. What's the worst that can happen - you see an item you love and get "jealous" since someone else buys it for real cash? Who cares?! Juts focus on your own build, your own luck and have FUN ffs.

EDIT: Of course for PVP its a whole different ball game - pay-to-win would obviously be very unfair in that case...

I doubt they would find any hack. I have used that web site from time to time for D2 and D3 and the guy who has a 91 GCP bid more than likely bought up GCP with their forum gold they accumulated from other games.
