You don't have to pay anything to earn forum gold. I have a fair amount from D2 and I never paid in. But if you're a complete scrub, you can "donate" cash to d2jsp and be given a bunch of forum gold for your donation.

But jsp does provide a reliable means of converting game items to cash. Annoying to go through but it can be done. For example, I could offer x forum gold for D3 gold, then sell the D3 gold on the rmah.

I guess who opened this thread forgot the rule n.1 of this company about currency: if some particular items are considered "the most extreme item ingame considered as a currency for highend items, to the point to be something for a tiny unusual number of players expecially on particular amounts" well, guess what: the company will just ruin this business in a couple patches ;)
How? Putting ingame a new more valuable items, or enhancing the droprate of this item so much to be worthy no more than to buy a lv2 weapon.

Thinks, all this effort made by those pathetic junk goldsellers to collect all this valuable stuff ready to be sold and oooppps, doesn't worth a damn and there is something new ingame haha :D

Who cares. Get by with drops you find yourself or find friends who you can share loot with. It's not necessary to take part in trading in any online RPG unless you're a sperg who needs to have a perfect character build in order to feel like you have a reason to live.

ya im lvl34 and it seems nearly impossible to afford skill gems or and decent items every one is charging alc/chaos orbs and up for even the most common skills

The economy is fucked right now as it always is in a new game. Here its just worse because half of the people dont understand exactly how rare some currency is or what its worth.

The website doesnt help things but its definitly not the only issue. with nearly 70k people playing the users on that website are fairly small. Its fine though. I still kill just fine without spending all my wealth (all 2 GCP of it, I did overpay for an elemental hit) on an item. Eventually it will calm down and I can start buying things like chain for a reasonable price so I can play more enjoyable/diffrent builds than self sustaining ones.

there are always people who are extremly wealthy bidding on high end stuff the "few hours a day gamer" can't afford.
either through sites like d2jsp or hardcore trading 16 hours a day. there are always extremes.
in the end it doesn't matter.
