A couple of examples of how the economy is already getting screwed for the majority of players

Not the simple goal of finding/buying gear to improve you armoury stats.

D3 was a good single campaign based game. With the exception of the RMAH it wasn’t built for online communities and for adaptation. PoE was built for online communities and to be adaptable.

Yes, those are mostly good reasons to explain part of D3's failure. And they help to show that the (rm)ah was far from a primary issue. Really those examples are just the tip of the iceberg when examining d3 flaws.

Exalted/divine/GCP drop rate is fine when you consider how quickly they are absorbed by player use. You can accumulate 100 exalteds and can likely never create more than 4 or 5 good items from them (which can then at most only sell for a few exalteds themselves!)

First off, there's no evidence that 91gcp was definitely from d2jsp. It's 100% possible for a small group of people that have been playing for a week and trading while prices are still in flux to get that kind of wealth (and more). I highly suggest we stop talking about d2jsp in this thread.

Secondly, multiboxing is a concern (albeit a small one) for a free to play game, but it's not against any rules and the details of party experience and loot have been changed in the past and will likely be changed in the future.

Speaking of "rules", I'm curious about what they are and where they are posted. Since you're a moderator I figured you could help me with that.
The people that bought this item just wasted their currency. Uniques are by far the easiest items to obtain in regards to high end items, and are not matched by 6L or high end rare items. The fact that it was 1 socket is such a joke. Someone probably can get 15 of those mauls faster than they can get 91 GCP.

All the prices of uniques are only going to go down as time goes on (and the fact that they are not ever designed to be the best items in the game, as in they are inferior to decent/very good rares)

It's all about teamwork. Not d2jsp.

It's like everyone is ignoring you. Its so weird.

There are teams of folks out there that are climbing the ladder and trying to stay on top. So they pool their resources together to buy each other good gear. They also feed each other gear that drops while they farm maps.

I suspect that it is teamwork that is leading to those high bids.

I mean, alone, in a week I made about 80-90 gcp

I purchased all those items.
30gcp for chest
20 gcp for shoes
14 gcp for gloves (Overpayed a bit)

I'm pretty sure that the 91 gcp was NOT from d2jsp. It's 100% possible for two or even one lucky person to acquire 91 gcp in a week.

I wont say it feels EXACTLY like a d3 RMAH, but......yea its close.

With or without D2jsp this will still be a problem. Someone already posted a link of someone selling something through ebay. It's something people will always have to deal with in any ARPG/MMO and to me it feels like wasted energy to even complain about it.

Sure lets not complain, I mean d2's economy ended up g.....

"Stone of jordans/Zod/Super strong rares or GTFO!" I believe is what it mostly became, yea?

I get that itll happen, and its hard to stop. But on a fledgling economy, this is something that needs to be looked at, ion my opinion at least.

I know I'm late to the party responding to your response, but you are comparing D2's economy being screwed up by dupes. This isn't a good comparison. Right now essentially people are complaining that real money is possibly being used to acquire good items or THAT web site's forum gold. To that I say it's a waste to complain. It's going to happen either through ebay or somewhere else. Now if dupes becomes a serious problem within PoE then it's a different concern and one that should be brought to attention.

you probably think kaom's heart is worth less than a 6l too.

the solution for xp party bonus in party is that low level players in a party with someone 5 or 10 levels higher will not gain xp :D
All I can say is through closed beta I played solo almost exclusively, and never traded anything ever.

I had a fair bit of orbs, with my highest character to 69, and a couple in the 50s.

I found I didn't have to farm until around 58ish, and even then not a lot.

Keep a close eye on the whites that drop, and you can make yourself a decent item with a little patience, without any trading or multi-boxing needed.

In a very grind heavy game the death penalty equates to...more grinding.
