+1 to OP.
I think POE needs some character progressions in the end game. The game is fun until like level 80ish, but pretty much only RNG progresses your character after the level.
Basically, POE is fun when "Hard work system"(Leveling) is available for character progression, but a lot of us get bored when only RNG is available.
I think for RNG worshipers, leveling characters and gems should be RNG too. When you got enough EXP, you would get +1 level or nothing or -1 level. You love RNG, right?
I use vaal orbs for that.

Sad thing is people in this thread compare playing a game with work.
Actually the really sad thing is arguing with a soccer lover - because even though it's arguably one of the crappiest sports known to mankind, they still seem to enjoy it even vehemently defending it... so it comes as no shocker that type of person is defending GGG/POE so vehemently.
Meh - that likely will get me a probation but... try not to take that joke too personally anyways. lol
Not sure if butthurt American or butthurt Canadian :3 The final was pretty good btw.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence. Последняя редакция: Xavderion#3432. Время: 24 мая 2014 г., 18:12:35

OK if RNG is good answer this... why does nothing in Real money Store has RNG? why don´t they sell skill skins with random chances of getting nothing? or 50% chance of getting premium tab with other 50% chances of getting an skin transfer.
We all Love the RNG why not gamble for this items to.
IMO the reason why Cash shop doesn´t have RNG is because it would discourage people with bad luck streaks to buy more things. Sounds familiar to anything else happening on the game?
Sound familiar? Nope.
Sound pointlessly stupid and irrelevant? Yes.
1 year playing highest lvl 70
2 week charity lvl 20 -.-
so many charan disciples this days
I played the charity race for a few hours to get in the stash tab draw and that was it. Wasn't interested in playing more.
And my current highest level char is 77 actually. Don't know what you are looking at. And I've deleted many chars in the 60s and 70s as I am still looking for a build that I find the most fun to keep leveling beyond that point.
Have not found it yet.

That's a pretty stupid comparison, MMOs just start at max level for a lot of people... to experience the whole content, you also need to invest several hundreds of hours in most MMOs, and thousands of hours in Korean ones. In PoE you don't even need one hundred hours (Atziri was down like 4 days into the race lol, and this is in a hardcore environment).
If you think taking down Atziri in 4 days is the definition of "experiencing all content" I feel very sorry for you. If it were possible to experience all the content of PoE in 4 days I would never have touched the game, but I've been here for a year and a half.
Getting to the "final boss" so quickly means skipping most of the possible experiences in the journey. And levelling from 80-100 is nothing to do with content, it's purely about the personal achievement or the competition with others trying to do the same. Or, I suppose, an incidental side-effect of excessive farming. If anything, I'd say the best thing to compare your MMO stats to is the number of hours required in PoE to complete all achievements and all challenges, which takes at least a little longer than 4 days.

I hear yah! Like what do these players do for fun? Have a six figure office job or flip burgers for minimum wage at McDonalds for pleasure and entertainment?
But seriously, I understand it takes some effort to understand game mechanics, how items and skill tree choices work in conjunction with each other. But to say PoE is work, like it isn't an e-sport; to make this game sound like it involves work... I'd have better things to do if that were the case.
Maybe these players want PoE to turn into a hybrid Minecraft ARPG game.
It seems to me we'll have to wait for Chris Wilson to not only shave his hair off his head but also demand every last employee of his to do so as well, before that becomes feasable.

But it most likely is, by the time you kill Atziri you've also probably played every map (the 4 day guy didn't, I'm sure he missed some unique maps and the lvl 79 map, but you get the point). I know that PoE has more to offer than that, else I wouldn't be playing it for over 2 years now :P

well im pritty sure the guys who took down atziri in 4 days have experienced all the game trough, and probably have more ingame knowledge that the guy "qetuth" but that would just be a guess so your point is kinda invalid

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to simply quantify 'experience' with this game. Someone who can take down Atziri in four days might still be utterly helpless when it comes to racing or (nascent) PvP. They might not understand the Skilldrasil the same way as someone who has made dozens of mid-level characters. Qetuth's point is valid in this regard. We should be thankful that GGG made a game where 'experience' isn't merely a case of beating the end-boss and leaving it at that, which appears to be what you think it is.
That was kind of the point I was trying to make - merely having played each map is nowhere near all the experience available in PoE. I almost certainly don't have as "much" game knowledge or experience as most players who've beaten Atziri, however it is that you measure knowledge. But there is likely some knowledge I have which some of them may not. Because my experiences of the game are different.
And I'll probably be here as long as there is more to learn or experience. If I were out of things to do in the 60s and below, I'd probably see the lack of 80s content far more urgent, but there is so much to PoE that the problems with solo mapping are just something I wish they'd fix at some point, not a gamebreaker. No rush.
Actually I'd be curious to hear of those capable of reaching such high levels and content so quickly, how many different builds those players have tried, how much experimenting they've done to try and make supposedly non-viable builds work, how many of them do their own Skilldrasil exploring rather than just follow the recipe, what challenges like blues only they've tried. (I'm definitely not trying to claim superiority or anything, I genuinely am curious - I don't really watch streams, so maybe this is common knowledge).
