The arrival of Ewoks spelled the beginning of the end for another great series. This should have never gone live except on April 1st.

They'd be less their own mob and much more a third type of monkey along with the normal ones and the chieftains.


You're probably right, so the better solution is to populate southern forest with the chewed and dessicated corpses of the monkeys, especially around the waypoint. Seeing the carnage, you get this "oh fuck" moment, "what the fucking fuck did this!? wasn't Merveil bad enough? WHAT THE HELL MAN!" You see a lone Drop Bear, gnawing happily on a corpse. You approach it, it barks angrily at you and scampers off into the forest...

You breath a soft sigh of relief.

Then BAM. Face gets chewed off.

Heh, I play with sound off so the sounds of slaughter doesn't wake my kids...

I'm definitely not cool with this.

Edit: Oh and no headphones either - I need to hear them in case they wake up.

Obviously you've never played a single high level or modded endgame map. Otherwise you'd know that many, many map mods would become utterly retarded and nigh impossible to run safely with random "death from above" encounters happening, were they allowed to spawn in maps too.

You do know they made three other movies after this (*cough* Jar Jar Binks I'll grant you) and they're also making another three. So I don't think the end is nigh.

There has been random death from below encounters this whole time though so I don't see what the big deal is, especially with invaders you can have devourers turn up where they previously would never be seen without the feral mod.

Deal with these bears as you'd deal with devourers, if you know they're in the area keep moving FORWARD so they come up (or down, in the koala's case) and miss you completely, then kill them. Also once they drop I don't believe they can go into hiding to ambush you again like devourers do.

As for people complaining about needing to use sound, no not really, the audible warning isn't a particularly big warning, but again, back to devourers, they have no warning at all. Honestly if you try to react to the sound instead of just charging through and baiting them out you're just opening yourself up to desyncing back into the middle of the pack. Again, same as devourers, except they're much smaller so even while desynced your character is more likely to find a path out of the pack.
