Drops from high-end map bosses
" The problem with just raising a bit, is that people won't notice it due to RNG being RNG. It has to be massive increase either in exp or loot or both, but then the rest of the map needs to get nerfed reward-wise because otherwise it becomes too easy to get to lv100. the issue is that it needs to be massive to justify the risk. even bums with 9000 life skip easy bosses due to the 1% risk of death which costs 10 hours of maps.

" I've always assumed it is based on distance, because that's how it works against bosses which don't have a special boss room and how it works with normal/magic/rare mobs in the regular map area. It is theoretically possible that the boss room is close enough to the rest of the map, so that their hp is determined before anyone enters the boss room. If I remember correctly, Orchard has this "problem". This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

"Not everyone has good luck with map drop rates.Try playing solo and see how fast maps run out.The past 3 weeks I have bin in a really really poor rut.I am only up to 74 maps but all those and my 73's are all gone doing 71/72 and getting next to nothing back in terms of maps.I know its just rng (I hope) but even doing amazing maps 120+ with great rolls are yielding me next to nothing.Thats just maps never mind any decent loot. |

" Isn't that the special boss room? I've thought it has to do with boss room being adjacent with the rest of the map. I've ever wrote couple of time to GGG regarding this, it has to be changed, it's so bad that I don't even have a word for it... |

" lv74+ mapping is not meant to be done solo and without trading. Group up and trade! Heck in Standard where you also play, it is easy to find groups charging 0.5 to 1 chaos for 74 map run. 74 map only costs roughly 10 chaos as well there if you want to host your own maps. " Keep trying. By far the hardest jump for me was from 72-74 to 74+ maps. That was where I couldn't get any maps. I bought maps at that point as well. Eventually you'll get some drops and be able to move into 75-76. At that point, you should be able to keep a pool alive, but there is always a chance at bad RNG. Loot is another story. I got to level 93 solo, and did every map in the game (every boss too, other than 78 Dom because I like not dying, although I regret it now because I think I could've killed him and now I'll never know, that bugs the shit out of me). The reason I quit that character and sold my gear was because I just didn't have the ability to keep rolling them, although you could sell a 78 and get some currency. I just realized that even if I kept going, it wouldn't get better. So while I think playing solo is by far cooler, and takes more skill, you might be better off playing with others in the 90s+. Make the boss drop a guaranteed alchemy orb at maps from 66-70
From 70+ 1 alchemy orb +2 allts or something. Why? Give a player that runs a boss some free currency to roll his next map, or alch a piece from the map. It is not a lot but it would help i suppose and people could run map bosses for currency. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Although it is a big off topic what you've wrote, but I myself, as any other player who has hosted 76+ map wouldn't feel rewarded enough with a chaos orb or two, right? Последняя редакция: tinko92#6447. Время: 10 янв. 2014 г., 20:54:48

If u factor in the speed at which maps are run, and the cost accompanied, a free alchemy orb and 2 allts is good enough. It's not to big to make a huge difference, but it is the kind of reward players like, raw currency 100% drop. And it enables to run another map, this time rare if you entered a white/blue one. Increasing the difficulty step.
