Bandits and Griefing on Hardcore
I wasn't even aware there was a hardcore mode. Only began playing a few days ago.
It's unfortunate that people chose to abuse your trust in that manner. Some folks have nothing better to do, I suppose. " I really dislike people who think every website is the /b/ board on 4chan. |

It does indeed warn you in the text.
Still, i can understand that OP is upset. It is the main reason i dont play ffa pvp etc. Competition among equals is one thing, a challenge is fun. But things like that just invite moronic behaviour from people who get their enjoyment from destroying other peoples. |

" lol You don't know me, or the people who griefed the OP. Killing noobs is fun for a lot of people and funny to a lot of other people. Remember, this is a video game. No one is really being hurt. So the OP is new to the game, big deal. He wondered into hostile territory (public HC games) and got ganked for the lulz, big deal. He then came onto a forum and shared this experience and generated more lulz, big deal. Lesson learned for OP i hope. This is what online gaming is about to be perfectly honest. I celebrate what these guys did to the OP. It is stuff like this that forces you to stay on your toes in game. There is a risk and a reward to joining a party. If you get a good party, you get carried through content that you would have struggled on. If you join a bad party you die. Risk vs Reward. |

" <Not sure if serious> In no way, means or form should we celebrate or encourage anti-social behaviour. 13yr old shut-ins with the social sense of a rotting pumpkin would find this behaviour amusing. FFA: The looting choice of Hardcore-Hero Manly-Men Griefers! Yo!

Sorry to hear that OP - You do have to be careful when playing HC with randoms as there are a lot of idiots out there. It might be best to try and build up a list of people you trust before playing group HC
That said I am kind of surprised by the reactions of people saying "you should have seen it coming". :-/ The community here has been really good and welcoming to new players. I hope open beta has not killed this spirit :-( |

This is working as intended, if you read the Dialogue Box that pops up when you enter the Bandit's Camp there is a warning message which tells you that if your party members disagree you will have to fight them too.
OP was ambushed by griefers, not by a design flaw or a misfiring mechanic. (redacted - death sucks at any level) In the future just keep an eye on the dialogue box, it will show who votes for what, if you notice a slight delay or something out of sorts hit just alt + f4 or portal back to town (but alt +f4 might be faster). " Unfortunately when you open the doors to let everyone in, you also invite in the demographic that thinks there is nothing funnier in the world than ruining someone else's hard work. So it goes. I say this as someone who only signed up after the open beta (I have only been playing for three days myself), I do not mean this post to judge any other post-beta players. " I think they have a right to be upset. That's quite a waste of time, even accounting for the additional experience gain of being in a party. Последняя редакция: MojaveMusic#3407. The quest tells you to go KILL these bandit leaders, yet when you're given the choice to help them instead of killing them you don't even bother reading the small amount of text too see what's going on? I'm glad you got killed. And you learned your lesson, I'm sure you'll never die like that again. Don't play HC if you can't handle a death, even if it's from lagg/buggs/disconnects/power outage/griefing a-holes.

" Look, can we pretend not to speak for the HC community. The few chars I rolled in HC were actually far more enjoyable than SC primarily because the HC folks were more cautious/friendly/fun to play with... I'm sure we'd prefer all these manly-men HC 'heroes' *not* chase away potential party mates... FFA: The looting choice of Hardcore-Hero Manly-Men Griefers! Yo!
