Constructive feedback on 'fractured' (map mods)
I'm actually trying to 'challenge' players to argue why they would ever run a fractured mod as opposed to changing it..

My problem exactly is that it isn't hard; it doesn't noticeably affect the difficulty other than lagging us to hell (hello, necro totem). So instead of getting any enjoyment out of challenging myself, it feels tedious, like I'm wasting my time as it drags out in the same way as temporal chains, with barely rewarding enough drops. I think it's horribly dumb in its current form.

To some extent I agree with ur post.
However, I do not want to make a comparison with temporal chains (TC). Yes TC is annoying, yes it takes a lot of time, yes a lot of people will argue that the rewards are not good enough compared to the extra minutes it takes to complete a map. Next to these 'issues' (if I may call them so) though, Fracture brings a whole set of new issues, which are not only time consuming (as is the case with TC), but also affects the performance of the game itself. We all know sometimes there are some desync issues. We all understand its not a easy fix (well, most of us!). However, Fracture brings us to a point where known issues are becoming even bigger. Desync is a fact with so many mobs lags is a fact with so many mobs dc is a fact with so many mobs (these 3 performance issues have been identified by myself and many other players btw) Edit: also to comment on ur first sentence that it isn't hard. Well, it doesn't have to be, but certainly can be. With the right (wrong in this case) set of combinations, fracture can be pretty hard (easy/hard is rather subjective ofcourse, so lets say facture can make a map harder than initially). I would love to see some rewards as opposed to a map being harder/more time consuming. However, I cannot think of any rewards that are good enough to satisfy the xp loss because of extra desync/bugged maps that this modifier brings along. Последняя редакция: Deeno89#4145. Technically, it is a very unfair mod, since it increase the clean time, it is very difficult, but it does not provide advantages in terms of xp, and only a little advantage in terms of loot.
Nevertheless it is extremely funny.

Must say I also like the look of 1000 slain mobs on the ground :p Also, being a fair/unfair mod is debatable ofcourse. More specifically, I could argue for each and every mod that the rewards aren't 'good enough' and there will be dozens of others that will argue that it is good enough. I'm trying to skip that discussion. Rather, I want to sum up what the good and the bad of the modifier are. To do so, I look at what it brings and what it costs (not taking visuals into account, e.g., the slain mobs :p) Also, I don't have a problem with 'unfair' mods. Sometimes u just have to do a mod, even if u think the rewards are not 'good enough'. However, if a mod messes up game performance, there are no rewards close enough to consider doing that mod. |

I bought a new computer specifically for PoE this last winter. And I can't run fracture, in a group at least. Makes me very sad.

Fractured has to be taken slowly as to not overwhelm the area. That being said, I really wish they would boost it's IIQ. Just not worth it as it stands.

" I would gladly accept this if I could. However, from recent experience I can assure u taking it slowly will not help. 2 Mobs 'fracturing' into 6 already causes massive desync problems. Next to dying to it once, I experience it multiple times (so have many other who I've talked to about fracturing). |

Honestly I think it's just a massive waste of time.
It's like the temp chains map mod? It might be interesting but why have it as a map mod if all it does is just urk players? It's not super extra deadly or adds anything engaging.
