Map drop rate Feedback (Updated!)
Well then, I really see no point in what you suggest. Chaos recipe is relatively easy, yes, but so is finding maps. Sometimes RNG skullfucks you in this regard, and normalizing RNG against entry level access is imo the only purpose your suggestion could serve. Just as easily as RNG can screw over map finds, it can just as easily screw over finding two rare rings, a rare ammy, and a rare belt.
On the other hand, if RNG decides to take a shit on your game, you're still going to be rolling in rares. Those rares can be sold for alts (at a rate of 2-6 rares per alt), and 8 alts can be traded up for a single fuse. An entry cost of 2 fuse would be roughly chaos equivalent in value, and could be sustained by selling 32-96 rares. This is a sufficient cost, imo, at the position players will be in at entry level, or in other words with an average geared toon with average mf. After that point, where you'd begin twinking out alts, you've already broken through the entry barrier to maps and purchasing lv 66 from vendors is likely to be irrelevant, no matter the cost associated. So really.. What is the purpose of your suggestion? If its sustainability then I can see no reasonable cost except in some derivative of alts, as anything else is just as dependent on RNG as finding maps in the first place. Is english not your first language? Because I agree with you but you seem to think I disagree. Maybe my previous post was confusing, if so I'm sorry. Anyway..
I think 2 fusings would be great, so would chaos. Just something to get you in when RNG is pooping on you. Path of PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW Последняя редакция: Noobshock#1666. Время: 4 февр. 2013 г., 16:57:39

@Noob: I was replying to Slayer. Sorry, formatting is a p.i.t.a. on a mobile device and I didn't feel like quoting.

I´ve collected 4 maps just yesterday...3 from act3 and 1 from playing 1 map. Saw 4 map drops in one map also.
What I have to complain about is that you have to have filter-white-items set to disabled because its somehow buggy and it doesnt always show you the map even if its on cooldown just for you. Many times I checked ALT only to find out that theres a map with my name on it being snatched by someone else. Could we get an explanation how this works and why am I able to see other peoples maps being on cooldown and then 1 minuet later I cant see mine? ign: klavesnica

" You are unbelievably thick. I've explained it 3 times in this thread already so clearly you either don't understand that or just refuse to listen to something that contradicts you. How about this, I'm lvl 81, highest map is 75. Should I yell for GGG to make maps for my lvl? What happens when I get over 85? There's a bunch of people beyond that point and we aren't even 2 weeks into OB. Should these people come out and say grinding lvl 75s is unacceptable? FFS, you think getting a 66 is hard, go try and SUSTAIN 75s. In a week or 2 people will be selling 66s freely and often for decent prices. Even a month or 2 from now 75s will not be cheap or common because it's the end of the end game meaning they are useful for everyone while the supply is extremely limited. IMO, you sound like another MMO fan who wants an ARPG to fit that model rather than being different. Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th

" That would be demanding that GGG produce new content right now, which has nothing to do with what I'm asking. You should stop talking out of your ass. What I'm suggesting is that non-static content which is already made is a bit easier to get your feet into, so the majority of your time isn't spent farming the same static areas. And that's perfectly reasonable. " With the current drop rates there's no reason people would be selling them for "decent prices" since the demand will outmatch the supply by far. I don't understand how supplying way more entry level maps (66) would hurt the game in any way.

Well it would mostly hurt Moosifer's ego because he's quite proud of being "hardcore" enough to farm his ass off to get maps.
Being a RTS player at heart, people who take pride in being able to "handle" farming and consider it "hardcore" just look a little ridiculous to me. I'd much rather entry into the map system be conditioned by say, skill, build efficiency or even gear checks. But hey, what do I know? Path of PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW
