Since facebreakers are *more* physical damage, increased physical damage works pretty much like more phyiscal damage for other builds.

Try it out for yourself, it works really really well.

Well there are still two big buffs out there:

Not only are most of the Melee-Nodes not nerfed (Marauder-Start is unchanged and Duelist lost 4%). The Shadow also offers a completly new Starting-Location offering a lot more Damage then Marauder (75%) and the Duelist (41%). If you take the close Nodes you get 74% + 40% from the Shadow, which is a lot and they are also fairly close requiring a lot less nodes to travel.

The other buff is the ability to roll Flat Physical Damage on items not normally able to get those rolls. Those are most likely just average values, but it still allows for even more damage. In terms of Defense FB isn't nerfed any more than all other Melee-Builds. It is harder to get Block, it is harder to get Max-Resists and Life might end up below 6k for most builds. But this is true for basically all builds that mainly went for HP before the patch, most builds not using incredible high %HP-Increases might even see buffs, so you could consider it as a general Hardcore Nerf, since it is fairly easy to avoid Death even with only 3-4k Life, less if you are ranged or even a summoner. However in standard you only have to avoid almost all Deaths, not every single one.

I've got legacy FB with %phys damage nodes and do 40k aoe with a 5link. They might really work...

Well with Belly you can easily reach more than 200% increased HP as a Shadow, not sure if the Marauder has as much Life-Nodes. You also can get 141% increased Physical Damage and 75% Melee-Physical Damage.

Thats something I clicked together in about a minute, I guess smart people can make even better ones. But combined with the new possibility to modify items this seems like Damage-Wise FB does fine.

Defenses are a bit odd. Maybe a FB-CI build might be a good idea, since even a few ES nodes can make a CI-Build terrible strong. I'm not sure if there are other changes. It is also quite obvious that they want to move back from the hefty reduction you could get against Elemental Damage. My Old-Aura-Char gets 10% Max-Resists from every Aura, which means together with Elemental Adaption, Saffels and Diamondskin you already have 91% Max-Resists. Which is insane.

Shadow node are new start location, basicaly just new char to play FB build, not buff for other char that play FB.

If you start from Mara, then much easier to go Duelist, you will get MORE life, more block, more armour, more STR.
If you Duelist - same as Mara, just go to the Mara.

You CANT go to the Shadow new node and get them w.o BIG extreme loss, you will get much lower life pool, no block, no armour, no IR, NO DEFENSE!

Lol, Evasion w.o Acro are USELESS, also you didnt take IR, thats also useless.
And thats so bad, you wont take any block node, how you supposed to kill 3 atziri bosses? Just evasion?

Thats good for dps, but bad for defense. If you want end game content such as Uber atziri you must get much more defense and get more offensive node.

GGG nerf both, offensive and defensive for FB, other builds got buffed.

Ok here's the thing my face breaker duelist has 23k tooltip dps with hatred running. Hatred is getting nerfed so I'm gunna say I'll drop to 20k dps with hatred up. However we haven't seen the crafting bench for armor yet I'd assume flat phys can get put on armors as well. My reasoning behind that are some of the leaked crafting options contain all of the old weapon mods plus those from armor. I wouldn't imagine it would be a one way street. So if my hunch turns out to be correct and I can slot all of my armor with flat phys damage I'll be able to push my base dps to 30k+ from the 14 it is now. I only have a 770 FB so all of that with a 1k legacy and you're gunna be smashing faces. Nothing is looking too detrimental so far. FB will still be a niche build but I see a massive BUFF while reading between the lines. So quit the QQ none of you played FB anyway just crying to cry.

We didnt know for sure about it, it can be trolling as info about nerf 50% coe and half uniques from worst streamer that wanted to troll community and reddit.
Also what slot flat damage will be used? Suffix or Preffix? We didnt know that and if it will be ever in game.

I think its troll info about craft flat dmg on chests (bcs theres no roll on it before and GGG said that they dont wannt add new in near future), but still thats make no sense if BASE DMG FOR BOW will be INCREASED and NODE BUFFED (even if flat dmg will be added then why nerf FB node?), as EVERY other WEAPON node buffed, BUT NOT Facebreaker node! WTF? WHY?

Someone in GGG hates FB:confirmed. Bro Laz made one of the most coolest uniques for this game and FB have been steadily trounced into the dirt, only good thing FB got going for it now is the critical multiplier for characters not fighting unarmed since GGG can't figure out how to allow FB to critical, hopefully this will change soon. If FB could critical I wouldn't care about these other nerfs because for once GGG balanced something instead of squishing it.
