The unarmed damage yes (well it is a Troll by GGG since it only applies to weapons, right now which is likely fixed for us and I assume it will be a glove-mod).
But you can roll Flat Physical Damage ond basically everything which is a huge buff to FB even though the numbers aren't incredible high. Also Herald of XYZ also seems to be a nice addition to any FB-Char. The damage of FB will increase by ridicolous amounts, however Defense is nerfed, since FB was one of the few builds reaching insane amounts of HP, it will only have the same amount as most other Chars in the future (I assume something between 5k to 6k). Meginords received a reasonable buff, due to %HP becoming more important. BoR however is most likely out, because you might want to wear a Belly. FB will lose defense, like almost every other build that basically only took defense nodes, since there aren't that many of those anymore. " The guy leaking the Bench-Information is fairly credible, since he did provide a lot of actually true information before. Also the mods on armor aren't that high, I have seen 7-13 for a few Chaos, which seems likely to be one of the stats you can put on Armor-Pieces, because it is more expensive than other stats in that range. The only issue is, that we might get a few changes based on issues in the taiwan version. Since Unarmed Damage on a weapon does not really seem very reasonable and 100-119% increased Physical Damage is a mod that is likely gone in our version (only the next lower one might be avaible). But I doubt that they will change the entire thing up again. |

Your entire post is based on unproven info...
Facebreakers are fine as they are and might even see a buff in the update based on what info we have now. With the new tree it will be much easier to make a low life BM facebreaker which would give you ridiculous attack speed. Like others have said the phys nodes aren't worth the investment for FB, so if we end up getting more flat phys from gear then that will be a direct buff to FB damage and possibly therefore life. For the record my old cyclone FB did about 55k dps with only 20% phys from the tree, and I had a lvl 63 IB+AoF character doing 30k using fire damage nodes. Because Fb characters give up life on their gloves (and also if using abyssus or aegis) the increased base life might actually help. Going FB is definitely a tradeoff between getting flat phys and life, so they dont always have the best life on gear. Really not sure about ele resists though, I don't know what's going on with that. |

They only nerfed I think one or two Melee Physical Nodes, which isn't too bad. I'm not sure about the general nerf to survivability, but that does not only affect facebreaker.
The shadow-area seems like a really nice start for FB now, exspecially since you can get Mana-Leech there too and considering the reduced Mana-Costs that might make it possible to sustain FB just with that not requiring the BM-Gem anymore. There is also the possibility to go CI with FB paired with decent Armor that could work well too. However the new Tree and the change to Life-Nodes might require a different take on FB-Builds. Meginords is even stronger now for them, BoR however might not be that nice anymore, because Belly would not only offer the possibility for a 6l but also a big HP-Boost and a rare chest would allow a Flat Physical Modifier to be placed on it. I'm also not so sure if the Unique Shields are that good anymore considering that lack certain stats and again can't get a Flat Phys roll. They might still be very nice for certain situations like Saffels for Heavy Spelldamage but for most situations you might want a basic rare shield with good rolls. |
