everyone just hate it for the lag,
1. not that many play CoC, if there are milions of players (don't know how much) maybe a 1000 are in the ladder play CoC 2. like i didn't play CoC before, for many reasones, and not the GPU problems (i have Titan black), many others didn't try it also 3. i see 500000 DPS reave, 450000 DPS EK (or 300K with chain), CoC will get to these numbers with very good gear, it's just alot of little blows insted of few big ones i saw a low life CoC with "2 milion DPS (after shock and AS curse), he has 200ex gear, so if someone can spend that much, let him get to 2M DPS, he is a glass cannon never the less GGG, remember that you can't balance everything, and some ppl will break the game sometimes, what few players do (100 max) can't destroy the fun for all the players The real king of the hill - ASSZERKER CoC - high life, insane damage and clear speed

" No, people hate it because it gives ludicrous amounts of power for the amount of investment. All you need is a high crit chance and attack speed, you don't need weapon damage, cast speed, mana (other than spamming your one attack), even spell damage is optional since you just make up for it by the sheer number of free casts. If GGG want to keep all these attributes of CoC, then it should not be able to cast linked spells more than once per attack, similar to how Frenzy can only grant 1 charge at a time no matter how many times you hit. |

I think they indeed hate it for the lag. Many builds now are more powerful than CoC, but few slow down your PC so much.

" i didn't, and i wasent going to make fekeneer or what ever that is... i wanted to make a barrager, with EK + FP + spark, for not make too many players to lag, and try it for the first time, but i have many friends that play CoC, i can see there weak spots, i play VMS build with incinerate (not a popular build after the nerf), and it got me to lvl 95, with abit more game skills, it can do uber, maybe even core, the nerf was reasonable, and i tried it anyways, but i see players with CoC, and i think to my salf: 1. many don't want to play with them 2. the die alot (reflect, not many defences/life) so why the hell neft it? CoC interently inbalances on-hit mechanics with the sheer amount of spellcasts per second. Which makes certain things either ridiculously overpowered with it, or garbage with everything else.
See the fates of surgeon flasks and the Discharge spell for examples. This is the problem the rework should fix. | |
Those 50K and 100K Reave or whatever build costs about 25 to 100 exalts. With the same investment COC will simply rip the whole map apart. What spoils the game is that Voll devotion makes the most offensive COC build become the most defensive builds as well which is a privilege not many builds in this game enjoy.
Fakener's low budget COC is kind of the best example to show how COC needs to be at least weaker. I really think you are merely unhappy that you did not get to play COC. |

I can see the main problem of CoC in Discharge. Other CoC setups do not seem that much broken. It is the hardest hitting spell and proccing second, fast hitting spell, allows to regain charges ridiculously. Allowing only one spell to be supported by CoC would nerf it hard, but would not destroy CoC completely
