Fated uniques seem to be future legacy items

The three they leaked are not good enough to be legacy. If they retain any value it will be because of supply-and-demand economics, not their objective power level.

The Way I see it , it is an attempt by ggg to give more milage out of some of their early game items.
I would not at all be surprised if almost none of the really good end game uniques have this mechanic .

It a fact that power creep has pretty much turned the vast majority of formerly valued unique items into trash tier garbage .

So basically there is a system to make said uniques upgrade with the power creep.

what i do not get is why they want to make it exclusive too this challenge league and keep the mechanic from the core game..

people have already on many occasions stated how much they HATE legacy items and announcing this mechanic as a temporary thing feels like at best a shallow attempt at forcing people to play the new league and at worst the figurative rubbing of dog shit in the eyes of those people.

Its.... off putting. perandus was off putting simply because its economy was broken but at-least it didnt really gate anything completely unreasonable (and the mobs were fun)

Eh people get too bent out of shape about exclusives. They will run Perandus again in the future, or something like it, and put all the league exclusive stuff back into play again for anyone who missed it.

Yeah, Prophecy doesn't really lend itself to being a Zana Mod (what with it affecting non-Map Zones and such,) and I doubt it'd be something added to the full game..

So it is a shame that something so seemingly cool will go the wayside in 3 months' time...

I keep remembering talisman and how pumped everyone was to find talismans that could be better than legacy amulets. Then people actually treid farming talismans and it was a waste of time with very few people actually getting something amazing. I feel like every patch GGG puts a golden carrot on a stick and tries to get us to play another league for 500+ hours instead of tackling bigger issues like the outdated mapping system they have now.

except that what he said is true.

MFW people saying "Legacy is off putting", except the fact is it isnt and it give people a major end game goal is to get legacy gear.

I dont get why people try and make the game redundant as if it isnt already being made that way enough. If you can roll/find league only uniques then it makes playing leagues redundant.

Leagues are already redundant because nothing insanely valuable is made to drop in them anymore and thus theres no point in playing the new league for alot of people because they can just wait and buy it on standard, or better yet, someone rips them intentionally from New League HC to standard to make a fortune (which is allowed).

I farmed Ledge on a lowbie, bought tons of Edge of Madness swords for 1 chaos each and sold them for a few exalts each, ripping them from NLHC to Standard. There is already no point in playing new leagues if someone is willing to farm and rip the items.
