Fated uniques seem to be future legacy items

Not really, a real legacy item can't be obtained in any way besides buying it from others. We have ways to get old league uniques via cards, chancing in maps and Perandus has been a league-specific unique heaven.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I understand that GGG wanted to introduce competition to the players, but its made in a way that most people find resenting. Most people stick to their 1-3 characters and dont see any sense to create new one to replay 90% of content just to expriance 10% of new one that given league offer.

Personaly I rather download new game and expriance 100% of new content than just 10%. Because thats what resonable human being would do.

Additionaly you split playerbase (with is already small, blocking many people joining because "i want to play here and my friend play there, so meh, lets go play other game") into many "servers", you split economy aswell and totally destroy the two main leagues - SC and HC making them obsolete for many people. They should be the most important, actualy they should be the only two leagues existing in the game. You also gate content behind "you either play from start or you cant expriance it" with probably piss off many people.

If GGG had put the amount of workload that they had put into leagues and just added expansions to the game, we would probably have now just two difficulties - less repeating, more content, much higher playerbase, much less developing resources going into void.

If GGG wanted to put competition amongst players they should have created sub-leagues of SC and HC where you can jump in with existing characters and compete on some new PVP/PVE ground with cool mechanics. Now leagues are just competition of who is bigger no-lifer and can level faster than others instead of introducing something new that will test your player skill or just simply giving you something fun and new to do with your friends.

Even if GGG realised that, they are already at point where turning back would be hard. The game had it moment, its 5 minutes, as a new game to play. Many people already tried it and part of them wont try it again even after you change it.
If GGG now switched they would highly risk of losing current player-base that somehow bare with the league system, and they wouldnt have any quarantee that old people, who already tried the game will join it to expriance the possibly new system.


I agree that the rant has a lot of speculation and exaggeration. I do find it hard to get friends to play POE with me. It would be neat if instead of making a new league, the league stuff was temporarily added to standard. No need to start over every few months for new content. Or maybe the ability to move characters from one league to another. Or the option to move your characters to the new league the first time you play them when the new league starts. Something...
I also wish PvP was more of a thing. I have trouble finding anyone with wish to level up Leo. When I do try PvP, I'm usually placed against someone 20 levels above or below me. It's lame. Not really PvP options either.
I'd love to see GGG give the core game more love. Maybe make leagues run longer or something so they have more time to focus on it.
Fated Items are meant to be upgraded Leveling items instead of build enablers. I would guess if they add a Prophecy feature to Zana maps later on Fated Uniques would reappear. So no I don't thing they are fated to be future legacy uniques.

Hopefully they'll be more available during actual leveling then. This game is "find 0 leveling uniques while leveling, and then get trolled by them in high level maps". I would rather have leveling uniques during leveling than have better leveling uniques when it doesn't matter.
So now we are complaining about getting regular content , expansions every half a year for free and legacy items before the league even started.

The salt on this forum is probably measured in metric tons nowadays.
Personally, my only sour taste about GGG and what they are doing to their core game. At the same time, I can understand if they do not want to overwhelm the core game with too much contents. Stuff like warbands/tempest and perandus might be too much for the core game, but talisman and prophecy gives life to itemization, which this game is about. I am not sure what will GGG's verdict be on prophecy once the league end later on this year on whether to retain it in the core game once the next expansion comes out. Maybe too much itemization is bad, but PoE is all about itemization and leaving it out of core game is sad.


I can only pity at GGG because they are doing so much to keep this game going strong and always have to face so much criticism for their work, but it is to be expected in the gaming industry.


Only reason why I stick around PoE for so long is my love for trying out new builds and my altoholism. Act 4 and labyrinth can only do so much. Same goes with upcoming endgame labyrinth, that is the only content permanent league will be getting until the next expansion. Luckily, since I am one hell of an altoholic, endgame labyrinth content will be significant to me. This potentially has opened up to more future builds and my current builds. Though, this can only do so much. Temporary leagues will never catch my interest because I am not a fan of starting out fresh, the idea of even experiencing it again is one big nightmare to me. I know GGG has done their best to improve the first character experience by giving us more options with gem vendors, but I am too attached to permanent league to ever let it go.



Again, I do not want to remain sour and continue to look for the bright side of things. I know I went off-topic with this post, but this topic does bring up a good point in what direction PoE is heading to with the core game on side contents. Strongboxes, bloodlines, rogue exiles, nemesis, torment, shrines, forsaken masters, and beyond mod in maps bring so much life to the game. They play a significant role to the welfare of PoE and I do hope prophecy came make it to core game one day.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

PVP should just be a zone anyone can walk into and PVP. Period. No going to an NPC for matchmaking. Just A zone in each difficulty where you can go and PVP, real simple right?

Also, I mean the game is fine. Ive been playing since CB and I still come back for every new league for ATLEAST 2months. So I mean...
Don't fated uniques count as league exclusive and not legacy?
