Fated uniques seem to be future legacy items

From the sounds of it, Prophecy could really be fun and I hope it makes it into perma leagues.

GGG did a pretty good job of implementing temp league attributes to the permanent leagues until Tempest/Warbands. The last three leagues have not been added to perma leagues in any meaningful way.

I would like it if Tempests and Warbands could spawn in zones, just at a vastly reduced rate so it was an actual surprise when it happened. When they spawn from darkshrines in the Lab, it is ok, but the Tempests seem to be limited in diversity and hunting down the warbands is too much trouble for what they drop.

I wish Talisman had been added in its entirety to perma leagues as an alternate grinding activity. Rigwald was a great fight that needs to be added back to the game.

For Perandus, if they made him as rare as unique strongboxes currently are and limited his selection of offerings, he could be balanced, but the Perandus boxes would need to be reworked and the aggro radius would need to be reduced. The catalogues, specifically, may have been a little too generous.

It would be nice if Darkshrines were put in the game at a greatly reduced spawn rate also. Or in hidden areas for people who compulsively full clear.

I keep remembering talisman and how pumped everyone was to find talismans that could be better than legacy amulets. Then people actually treid farming talismans and it was a waste of time with very few people actually getting something amazing. I feel like every patch GGG puts a golden carrot on a stick and tries to get us to play another league for 500+ hours instead of tackling bigger issues like the outdated mapping system they have now.
Neden yaşıyorsun?
I think it's like this. They are probably waiting to see if people actually like the league with "their" data. I think they just were not happy with the data from talisman and other content not added. Perandus was never gonna make it come on it would murder the game. They want the best of the best in the core because that's their main representation of the game.

I mean i used to hate the lab but it was exciting enough to beat it for the first time. But it feels like any normal chore of the game nowadays except with higher stress. Prophecy might be the one but it's all speculation either way. And i have noticed with GGG that silence is a good thing because they are working and if you guys would chill out they could really put out some amazing stuff.
Honestly, I have to agree with a lot of people in this thread.

Path of exile is the only game that disappoints me by removing potentially valuable content.

There are plenty of ways they could have kept older content too. Think about it this way;
We have exclusive cosmetic items in leagues; we no longer need exclusive uniques. Doing so means that interesting builds or items are no longer attainable in later leagues, where most of the content is done.

Zana can easily have more then she has in map mods. She could just unlock two per level. By limiting her, a problem occurs in that, as more leagues are added, the pool becomes more diluted, and so we lose the chance to see more and more of these uniques each league. This is especially notable with leagues that can't easily be made into maps mods, like perandus as of recent.

They could also do very minor tweaks to some existing/removed content; if talisman were a map mod, make it low cost, and make shrines only require 3 instead of 5. Much less grind that way. The recent Perandus league was also great for me, as I got to see so many items I never otherwise would have been able to. Even warbands could have been kept as some kind of merciless only effect or a map mod that wasn't only zana; such mods make maps more interesting.

I'm terribly worried that prophecy won't be added in some way to the base game. The idea that you get future events placed before you is a fantastic kind of sidequest content addition that I see really spicing up the game. Even if it has flaws, keeping It in means that it could potentially be improved in the future, just as I hope the labyrinth is.

Right now, to me, the labyrinth is too much of a chore with too little reward. The changes coming tomorrow in prophecy, with an endgame labyrinth that actually gives experience, possibly a real challenge, more loot in secrets/caches, and more variety in the means it could be much more interesting and time worthy content then it was on release (Though it still has serious issues otherwise, and I kind of hope they add some kind of combat gauntlet alterative for those who don't like trap dodging gameplay, even though I kind of like it).

Were I to look back a little, imagine how people would have felt if they didn't keep ghosts, strongboxes, shrines, bloodlines, nemesis, etc? To me, those all add wonderful variety in the form of interesting content. Looking back as recently as the just-ended perandus league, I went and fought a warbands general in a map using zana; I've never done that before, and it was cool. Perandus as a league map mod would be hard to implement well, but I realized that I wouldn't mind some kind of similar "soul box" concept that was done with the perandus chests; perhaps a strongbox that uses the souls of nearby killed enemies to spawn a stronger enemy, that drops more/rarer items the stronger it is? I wouldn't even mind if perandus came extremely rarely in maps to buy something in exchange for normal league currency items. I got to experience tempest through darkshrines, and I thought they were a nice risk/reward function, but soon after they were gone. They are only in the labyrinth now, which is fair, but I wish tempests were someplace else; it seems with prophecy, they may be.

Even talisman, though it was grindy, had cool ideas I could see being improved, and with a less grind (reduced talismans needed) and some tweaks, possibly a nice endgame option. Instead, it's gone (no zana map) and I genuinely miss all of the removed content. I'm glad warbands is making a re-appearance in unique chests, and that tempests are coming back for prophecy, but I'd rather these things not be completely removed in the first place, just repurposed somewhere. It saddens me to think that all of this potentially interesting and improvable content that I am excited for Is going to be temporary; the thought is actually somewhat draining to my enthusiasm, and if prophecy doesn't stay, there is a risk I won't stay. Why give me something cool and then take it away?

Having more zana map mods available, removing temp league unique exclusivity, putting some of these effects as mods on maps, effects on darkshrines, or prophecies, would be better then throwing them away.

Overall/TLDR; no more uniques should be league exclusive and as there is no need to do so, and it dampens possible variety. More content should to be kept in the game in some way, and not be forcibly jumbled around through things like zana or perandus (who is gone). Keeping league content means that it not only adds extra options and variety to the game, but it means that if it is flawed, that it could be improved in the future to be a genuinely great addition to the game.

Please don't throw away/brick prophecy if it has issues. Please.

League system is one of core problems of this game.

GGG in one interview wrote (if I remember well) that they put around the same amount of their resources in developing some leagues as they do with expansions.

Its unresonable to put so much money into something that is not core of game. League system messed the game alot due to many reasons, where the biggest one of them is GGG not knowing what people want from games.

Majority of playerbase left on POE are maniacs, fans, no lifers, white knights that create more characters than there are ants on this planet.
Majority of global playerbase available create in games around 1 -3 characters, dont like to reply something that they did before (example repeating the game in many difficulty levels). The only repeating stuff that most people bare is max 1 hour long, not 500 hours long. Thats where rouge-like games and MOBA games shine. Because when you spend more time on a thing, as a live being you start to get attached to it.

Creating game where workload of develping time goes into stuff that wanish after relativly short time is nonsense - and those are leagues.

I understand that GGG wanted to introduce competition to the players, but its made in a way that most people find resenting. Most people stick to their 1-3 characters and dont see any sense to create new one to replay 90% of content just to expriance 10% of new one that given league offer.

Personaly I rather download new game and expriance 100% of new content than just 10%. Because thats what resonable human being would do.

Additionaly you split playerbase (with is already small, blocking many people joining because "i want to play here and my friend play there, so meh, lets go play other game") into many "servers", you split economy aswell and totally destroy the two main leagues - SC and HC making them obsolete for many people. They should be the most important, actualy they should be the only two leagues existing in the game. You also gate content behind "you either play from start or you cant expriance it" with probably piss off many people.

If GGG had put the amount of workload that they had put into leagues and just added expansions to the game, we would probably have now just two difficulties - less repeating, more content, much higher playerbase, much less developing resources going into void.

If GGG wanted to put competition amongst players they should have created sub-leagues of SC and HC where you can jump in with existing characters and compete on some new PVP/PVE ground with cool mechanics. Now leagues are just competition of who is bigger no-lifer and can level faster than others instead of introducing something new that will test your player skill or just simply giving you something fun and new to do with your friends.

Even if GGG realised that, they are already at point where turning back would be hard. The game had it moment, its 5 minutes, as a new game to play. Many people already tried it and part of them wont try it again even after you change it.
If GGG now switched they would highly risk of losing current player-base that somehow bare with the league system, and they wouldnt have any quarantee that old people, who already tried the game will join it to expriance the possibly new system.

I agree that the rant has a lot of speculation and exaggeration. I do find it hard to get friends to play POE with me. It would be neat if instead of making a new league, the league stuff was temporarily added to standard. No need to start over every few months for new content. Or maybe the ability to move characters from one league to another. Or the option to move your characters to the new league the first time you play them when the new league starts. Something...
I also wish PvP was more of a thing. I have trouble finding anyone with wish to level up Leo. When I do try PvP, I'm usually placed against someone 20 levels above or below me. It's lame. Not really PvP options either.
I'd love to see GGG give the core game more love. Maybe make leagues run longer or something so they have more time to focus on it.

So you mean everyone would be forced to play in the sexually transmitted disease and its alt+f4 twin, where the economy is alredy trash, people have even easier access to cookie cutter builds, and the rich people can get everything a new league can offer in 1 hour? No thanks i prefer having content for only 3 months, and moving on to the next league. Hell there were 3 days without a temp league after perandus, and i alredy got cancer from playing standard.

However brodiro would be a nice addition to all upcoming leagues, maybe having a lower chance to spawn, and even then only at T10+ maps, with perandus chests restricted to merciless+... this way it wouldn't be as easy to get your gg uniques as perandus league was.

PVP should just be a zone anyone can walk into and PVP. Period. No going to an NPC for matchmaking. Just A zone in each difficulty where you can go and PVP, real simple right?

Also, I mean the game is fine. Ive been playing since CB and I still come back for every new league for ATLEAST 2months. So I mean...
the arena in sarn?

This is the most op of the items Ive seen so far, though the 2k armor on that low level item looks nice too.
I hope parts of prophecy get added to the main game. The coins are not needed anyway (so many boring filler prophecies, why do we also have to farm the chance to get them?). Filler prophecies could be removed if getting a prophecy at all is sufficiently rare.

The unique, fated, 5/6l and map related prophecies should stay imo!

What a bunch of salty nonsense.

What a bunch of white knight bullshit. See how easy it is ? :)

But you really became overly negative about everything PoE related. Which is unfortunate imo, as I valued your posts before you got bored with the game.

I can only pity at GGG because they are doing so much to keep this game going strong and always have to face so much criticism for their work, but it is to be expected in the gaming industry.

Yeah but sometimes you get the feeling that they chance or introduce certain things just to get backlash. I see it a bit different than you: Many things get criticized but after all, players let GGG get away with a ton of bad decisions over the years because the game still rocks anyway.

Well the normal bow adds 110% of a random element, the upgraded version adds 110% of each element so I believe if you had the right items this bow could do allot of damage, it already was doing 20k dps at level 60 for me.
